I'll tell you what my current abdominal-targeted workout is and you tell me an exercise to target that region.
In the exercises like Russian twists, I count 1, 1, 2, 2, etc.
50 standard sit ups
50 side crunches left
50 crunches
50 side crunches right
50 side crunches left
50 crunches
50 side crunches right
50 Russian twists
50 Russian twists
50 heel touches AKA penguins
50 heel touches
50 standard sit ups
30 second left plank
30 second plank
30 second right plank
30 second left plank
30 second plank
30 second right plank
60 second V sit
100 bridges/hip raises (50 with left leg raised/50 with right leg raised)
I end every time with a good stretch.
In addition to my core exercises I run for 30 minutes a day which roughly measures out to five miles a day. I also drink only water. I also lift. Should I add weights to my core exercises?
I have definition in my upper ab region and I have the beginnings of lines coming down my sides, but I would like to tone up my lower abdominal area.
Do I just keep doing what I'm doing and the bottom will come along or is there another exercise I should be doing?
Please no comments about how girls with abs aren't attractive. I'm not doing this for guys, I'm doing this for me and I like how it looks and how it makes me feel and I know the importance of a strong core :p
