Anyone have any thoughts on water fasts?

Ok so im going to be starting my 21 day water fast tommrow and I just kinda wanted to see other ppls point of views on it, please if you are not aware what a water fast is or educated on what it does for you and stuff like that then please do not comment until you are aware. Im doing it for weight loss but also for spiritual reasons and health. I have high blood pressure and swollen lymph nodes so this Is a way to restart my system. I have done a 7 day water fast before but now I feel like I wanna do a longer one. Has anyone ever tried a long water fast before? How did you stay commited? Any other thoughts on water fasts?

I did fasting before but that was all years ago. I don't do it now. I think it can be healthy but now I come to think it is often unnecessary. Also 21 days seems like an arbitrary long time may be for spiritual ok but for health I don't think it needs to be that long.

My lymph nodes are swollen so im hoping it will cause them to go back to normal, I went to the dr and she said it was nothing serious but Im hoping a water fast will clear it up also I wanna restart my system spiritually and physically as in like health so I can be almost like brand new. 7 days didn't help my lymth nodes

I did a water fast for 3 days before, but I don't think a water fast is best for weight loss. The weight comes back according to how you eat. Also, eventually your body will start storing fat because you're putting your body in starvation mode. Just saying.

I did a 7 day water fast befor and lot 10 pounds, it didn't come back on because I eat clean for 10 dys after that. And its not starving yyour body. Your body can last a long time without food, when you water fast you body goes into kelotosise and it burns your fat because there's nothing else for it to use, your body only goes inyp starvation when its still in glotouce burning mood so like if I eat only a little. Jesus fasted for 40 days. Its a way to heal your body and give it the time it used on digesting food to heal other parts. Definitely not in starvation mood if I already switched over and im not excersing. I did my research and next time if u dont know please dont comment like I mentioned above

I've already thoughrally researched water fasting. And I still stand on the fact that your body will begin to store fat as a survival strategy. The initial "weight" you lost was water weight. NOT fat. Also, your body WILL start to eat muscle, which is also, not fat. Fasting is a way of repairing the body... yes. However, STILL. Your quoting what you read on some website, and that's okay too since you just want someone to respond in liking to what you think you already know. Lastly, get over being aggressive by telling me dont do whatever. Truthfully, I could give two shits as to what you do to your body. I answered this because I wanted to get points.
