but what do you GENUINELY think will be better? and please state why?
(again, just for fun, dont get worked up just enjoy yourselves :P )
Not to be the downer here, but I really don't think one would generally be better than the other. Men and women both bring merits to the leadership table, although it is good that more women are able to rise into leadership positions in the modern era.
I really don't care for the term 'patriarchy,' though, since it implies that only men have power even when such things as the inability of many men to talk about emotional problems is a debilitating and non-empowering thing.
Women can take it from men anytime they want, be guest, if you think there is an proactive power transformation needs to happen means women can't do it without the original helps. so it's weird of everything.
Personally I think Matriarchy. This is because we had a patriarchal society, back in the day, and lets be honest thing were pretty shit. Thing weren't being prioritised with thing like money and statuses. Although i think that this is to do about how men like power, or at least they did, because i think that men demand this kind of power. Where as women they do not. All I'm saying is that we should try out a Matriarchal society for once, mash things up a little bit!
Back in ancient Greece Sparta was a matriarchy only women could vote in the elections
How about... Cat-riarchy

I'm sorry. I cannot allow you to do this.
@harakiri for President.
If it helps, I still love you <3
@TadCurious for Majority Whip. Higher positions must go to the ladies of the matriarchy :p
VP? Vampire Peach?
Lol wouldn't it be then VPW?
I do enjoy doing that. :P
Vampire Peaches Whipping.
We whip those vampire peaches for you!
I have to go hunting so I can bake my wife a vampire peach pie now :P
Ugh the agony!!
LOL That's the kicker innit? I would personally want an equal society, but if you HAD to choose, why would anyone ever choose the one that put themselves in a worse position?

Patriarchy because women can't deal with the stress and emotions of the world and this is why https://people.howstuffworks.com/women1.htm
you some of us are pretty emotionally detached. Example A. me
I've seen moms with like a billion children handling it like its nothing
I've seen women who pulled an entire family from the ground and made something out of them ALL BY HERSELF because the man panicked and decided to bail
I've seen men who looked like they need help washing their face lol
its not measured by that
you have estrogen level changes, mood swings, periods, naturally more emotion based thought with less gray matter connections, menopause, hormonal changes, etc. all those factors in the equation that can lead to nuclear war yeah no thanks. now I'm not saying i wouldn't vote for a woman to be president I'm just making my argument for the whole hypothetical question of if i rather live in a patriarchal or matriarchal world.
There is actually a funny story about a women who decided to create an all-women company, and two years later it went bankrupt, due to none of the women getting along, slagging each other off and generally being inhospitable
Matriarchy. I'm ashamed to say: it massively turns me on. As long as I'm getting semi-regular sex, women can paint the moon pink for all I care. Hell, I'll go paint it for them if I'm asked to.
But seriously, things should be equal and all...
Sorry, I wasn't taking the question serious; although tbf that is what you asked for. :)
If I was answering honestly. I'd probably still say matriarchy. I don't think women have the same drive to be the 'strong one' that men have. Decisions would be based more on practical things (mostly) than patriarchy. Besides, it would make a change :)
Tbh, my first opinion was serious. For the second one, I just tried not to think with my penis for a second (took a lot of effort). If a woman showed up at my front door and said "Right, we're in charge now. You're coming with me to my house, where you'll live as a maid. In the meantime, go put tea on for me." I'd do it if her skirt was high enough. Although I think if women actually ruled the world, it probably wouldn't pan out like that.
Im probably exaggerating. You'd be suprisd how many guys have that fantasy though.
Strong, confident people are attractive to many people of the opposite sex. A world of strong, confident women in charge is quite appealing to me. That said like all politicians, I'd probably hate them after a year in office and want some other crowd.
Historically, patriarchal societies have dominated. In non-human primates, the patriarchal chimp species outcompete the matriarchal bonobo chimps.
In hominids, neanderthals had more matriarchal societies than sapiens, and went extinct (although a small percentage of their DNA lives on in us)
So yeah, it'd have to be patriarchy FTW
Yup. Indo-Aryans were patriarchal, the Dravidians were matriarchal. Rome was patriarchal, and the Sitones of northern Scandinavia (considered to be less wealthy than other Germanics who were already considered uncivilized) were matriarchal.
Matriarchy basically means that sexual strengths and weaknesses are not being realized. Women have an obvious absolute advantage in taking care of children (pregnancy, milk production, and biological mother/child bonding), and men have an obvious one in fighting, hunting, building, farming, etc (Bigger size, stronger, faster, more spatially aware).
So if for some reason your group adopts a sexual culture which does not play to the strengths of each gender, your culture will become inferior and easy to conquer.
Putting women in the army and men in childcare work is suboptimal.
'Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.' - Albert Einstein
Neither, I think genders should share power. We might have less wars with a matriarchy, maybe less income inequality (might), and more environmental regulations. We might have more technological development with a patriarchy (I don't know).
Women want to marry up not down. Men want to marry down not up. As such a matriarchy will leave people more unhappy, and is more likely to be abandoned.
There are pros and cons for both. But also you have to take into account how extreme either society can get. So I don't know.
Voted A though :)
I come from a family ruled by women, with few males in the family.
Imagine the world being ran my moms
And I mean like, super moms
Just imagine it.
I think it should be equal tbh.
I'd vote for matriarchy if I could be part of a woman's harem of men.
Definitely Patriarchy.
you downvoted me? :o :( 26.media.tumblr.com/...lztwk3DPQM1qcag4ho1_500.jpg
