Why do people say "grow a pair"?

The term grow a pair of balls is technically incorrect since balls are a lot more sensitive and fragile than a vagina. Why not say "grow a vagina", they can push babies out and stuff but balls just hang there and shrink and stuff.

i do credit females who are single moms, go to work , take care of the kid (s)
more men need to act like men, take care of their duty as being a father
being a husband, providing for the family. We live in a depressed, sad world
we need take look at the African countries and countries where there is little
food, kids got walk miles with no shoes on their feet to get water, food, some
got stand in line for food for hours, to only be given a huge loaf of bread, rice
so many are dying in them countries.. America is so lucky we got take a look
at the hurt them depressed area countries are facing everyday some have
no clothes they wear what they can, they have no cell phones, no computers
no cable t. v. , no internet etc.

Why are things manly associated with strength? It's still not accurate. Even a woman's breasts are more strong than balls. Dicks and balls are so sensitive especially if you kick them. Why are they the standard of strength and courage?

because we are usually the ones to stand up and do something... not run. and our reproductive organs are the ones that keep the human race going. though we both need each other, women in the end, are just vessels. (no offense) and we the men, want to protect our vessels...

Men strike me as ones to sit back and let things happen. Women nowdays raise kids, work, clean their houses, cook food and all the men have to do is go to work come home and eat the food their woman cooks and enjoy the home the woman cleans. Who is keeping the human race going? Our male dominated government? Guys don't even give birth to babies, it's a proven fact women can take more pain than men to endure childbirth.
