This post is for minority women; Asians, Native Americans, Latinas, East Indians, women with African ancestry (women from Africa/African Americans/women in the Caribbean/ ect); who are in an interracial relationship/dating a white guy; Do you ever worry that a white girl will steal him away?

It's no news that the international standard of beauty is European looks or in other words, white women. I find this interesting because many white women try to modify their looks such as getting tan skin and getting plastic surgery. But many men all over the world view the standard of beauty as looking more white.

I've seen groups of men from every ethnicity strictly date white women. A majority of African American men will go crazy for a white girl with the curves of a black women. Many Asian men have rejected Asian women to chase after white girls. Most Indian and Arab men are damn near obsessed with white women; often making them the exception to the rule that they don't date interracially. Many people world wide have been brainwashed by the media to believe that white looks are the standard of beauty. The closer to whiter the better; which is why many Latinas deny African ancestry, Asian females may feel pride in having white skin, Indian females bleach their skin, and black women often hate on their lighter skinned/biracial counterparts.

MINORITY FEMALES ONLY: If you were dating a guy, would you ever be mad if you left you for a white girl?

I asked this question because my Blasian friend won't stop ranting about how a guy she was dating chose a white girl over her. She's really pissed and it's not the first time I've seen a minority get extremely mad if the guy they were interested in left them for a white woman.

I hope that this quesiton doesn't inflate the ego of any white women out there and make them arrogant. Don't get it wrong; I'm not saying that minority women feel threatened by white women, they shouldn't when many white women strive for the tanned skin of Hispanics, the straight, silky hair of Indian and Asian women, and some of the physical features of black women such as curves and juicy lips. So for you insecure white girls who may use this post as a confidence boost; get real.

I'm Latina (my Venezuelan mom's family is predominantly Arab, my dad is from Trinidad and his parents were irish and indian/south asian) and I've been with a White guy for over a year now.

Although I DO see that I do not by any means fit the Western standard of beauty, I am in no way shape or form afraid that someone who does fit that standard will snatch my lover from me :p

And if he did leave me for someone who did fit the standard, I would be mad-- but not because of HER or what she was or looks like she is. This is because infidelity is unacceptable, and in the case of infidelity what matters is not HER or who ever the hell she is but HIS actions and his inability to be a committed and honest partner.

I do find that any insecurities I have had, as well as their solutions, have all been a result of societal white washing... which was the last thing I had ever hoped to find in myself. I am a result of my biology: my big curly hair, my huge butt and small waist, my breasts, my nose, and the undertone of my skin, as well as mu culture, train of thought, and form of speech, are all a result of a combination of the surviving genetics passed on to me.

My solutions to all of my insecurities in the past have in fact been to accept the societal standards, thus rejecting my differentness as a means to "look good." So I straighten my hair, loose weight in hopes of becoming a little less curvy, try not to spend too much time in the sun, etc. Most of these I've worked through. The reality is I will never escape the ideal and I will never escape myself... I've found a balance and am a lot happier!

What you should take away is that she should not be fixated on WHO he chose over her, but that he chose anyone over her at all.

You should know that for men, there is no one standard of beauty. Different guys like different things. And a big booty is one of my favourite feminine features on a girl

I'm not sure why your question was down graded, it's one of those questions that some people have thought about but won't discuss it. I've dated men of different ethnicies (African, mixed African/European heritage, Asian and Caucasian). I have never felt that any Caucasian female would steal away any of the Caucasian guys that I've dated because the guys that I have dated were attracted to hot looking brown skinned females, that are very attractive, hot bodies, as well as an interest in their culture. But I have had problems where these guys would think that a African man or man of mixed African/European or Asian/African heritage would steal me away, and I'm talking about insecurities where your guy thinks that you are going to dump him for a person that is part of or similar to your ethnic origin.

Sometimes this made me feel that I had to work a bit harder to show that this was not the case - sometimes it was just too much.

When you say brown skinned, do you mean brown skinned black ladies or just brown skin like Indians and, Hawiians, and Latinas?

Plus it pisses off a lot of people they hate acknowledging that our skin is actually brown.

And your welcome, it really is interesting what the other side thinks and how much insecurities they have too it often works both ways though - well for some at least, but not in all cases. Sometimes you have to offer that extra reassurance especially if you love the other half and understand how they feel and why they feel that way. :)

The standard of beautynow is actually non-white women of color that's why you see white women getting lip injections, but implants, weaves and spray tans anything to look like a non white ethnicity.

It's the media. For whatever reason, white folks just up and started massive wars, and after invading so many countries, the white image became synonymous with the upper class image. And the media only helps amplify this class division.

Okay, so I am late but I found this interesting. I’m not with a White guy and nor do I ever want to be (they aren’t my type) and I usually am only attracted to my own, I’m North Indian. Everyone assumes I am Middle Eastern or Italian or something because I have fine, straight dark brown hair, brown eyes and a light olive complexion. I have European features as a lot of Aryan Indians do with the sharp nose, and similar bone/skull structure. Aryan Indians are as Caucasian as any European regardless of skin colour - we have the same skull structure and that is what Caucasian means, it’s a skull structure.

Now what you ask has crossed my mind only when I see very stereotypically Indian looking women with White men but I think that could happen with any man. Any man could leave you for any woman of any race if he isn’t a loyal man. If you trust him and he’s a good, loyal man he’ll only have eyes for you. Besides I think exotic women are soo much more attractive than a plain chubby blonde. Have you seen some of them? What White woman is worth leaving Salma Hayek or Aishwarya Rai or Mahlagha Jaberi or Tara Sutaria for? They have the form of a divine goddess, the beautiful smooth tanned skin, the thick tresses and gorgeous exotic looks that you could never get bored of. Not every man is attracted to blondes with blue eyes you know? Some actually only and strictly have a thing for exotic girls with dark features or at least just girls with darker features like brown hair and eyes. I think that non-White women are so insecure in themselves that they sometimes subconsciously put White women on a pedestal by thinking they’re better than them when they’re not, hence this question. If a guy leaves you for anybody he is an ass PERIOD. I can understand why it would probably poke at the existing insecurities more that “oh now he’s left me for a White girl so that confirms a White woman is better than me.” No, it definitely doesn’t. It is colonial mentality that still exists from slavery and the White people looting people and taking over. They have been day one shameless thieves... sorry but truth had to be told. The queen of the UK’s kohinoor diamond crown is stolen from India and they stole everything from India and ended up splitting it into three separate countries.

Us exotic women need to love ourselves more, accept ourselves as the beautiful exotic women we are. We are the beautiful commodities. The guy is lucky to have you not the other way round so you know what leave him before he can do anything if you sense he’s a jerk like that. You just need to learn how to judge a person’s character correctly that’s all.
