Asian guy who prefers white girls.

I am an Asian-American guy living in Florida and, unlike most Asian males, I prefer white girls over all others. The reason why is because, also unlike most Asian males, I stand 6'3" which is taller than most of them and I like taller girls. Most Asian females are shorter than 5'6" and look like dwarves around me. More importantly is personality. Most Asian girls are EXTREMELY uptight overachievers. They constantly obsess over grades, SAT, extracurriculars, and MCAT. That turns me off, as I like someone more laid back as opposed to "Oh no! I have to study!" Unfortunately, I get rejected a lot by the white girls and if I had a dollar for each one, I'd own a small nation. What bothers me is that I see more white guys dating Asian girls than the other way around. This hurts me because I am an Asian MALE who wants a white FEMALE. How is it possible for a 6'3" Asian guy like me to get a white girl who is tall and not uptight? Thank you.

Hey, I am a white girl and I moved to Florida- I know SEVERAL girls (including myself) that have found Asian guys attractive. The issue you may be facing however is- when I was single, I had the disturbing fact told to me that Asian men disliked white women... I mean, I was pretty upset by this and for a while legitimately believed it^. Now, after a great deal of maturing, I realized that was an opinion. By the way, girls take a while to mature, just as guys do... So don't be suprised when girls don't realize your worth, let alone their own.. My best advice is to let the girls know your intersted, I had a friend who was Asian and waited 5 years to tell me he would have wanted a relationship, looong after I was taken, lol. I think that you just need to find someone who you get along with^^ personally I thought for sure I hated white guys. But in reality it was just my defense for rejection and beleif in stereotypes-- I didn't think white guys would like a chick who wants to draw while eating pizza and refrencing Star Wars^ but hey, there is a person out there :)) just have to be open to finding them. Also!! Believe it or not, girls can and will get sick of the bad boy act^ so being nice helps you shine from the rest. Buuuuut I'd be lying if I generalized and said: "girls don't want to be chased"... some girls, like guys want to know they are wanted.. yet, they also want to still have a little depth and mystery to it. (I really hope this was at some point informative or helpful, lol, I am actually bad with the whole people-interacting stuff ^^)

I know many girls who think Asian guys are cute, and if you're taller than most then believe me you are perfect! White girls are disappointed because Asian boys tend to date with Asian girls but that is because you think white girls who are so pretty will never like them back. If she like Asian music or anime then is yours! :) All you have to do is behave naturally and from discussions with it her you can tell if she like you. I do not see Asian guys hitting white girls over here but the other way around perhaps boys hold on to traditional values more than girls of he same background who tend to reject the strict values and upbringing.of home.
And all depends what type of white girls you target.but yeah there are tall beautiful Asian girls too the problem is cultural divisions run deeper amongst Asians that among whites.

I also live in Florida (UF has quite a lot of diversity as opposed to my hometown). They have to be attracted to you, but that requires you to be open and show your personality to the girls you are interested in. I know some girls have preferences, as do guys (as you just said) and I can't speak for all girls, but I really do like Asian guys (American or foreign) and I sometimes feel like they might not show interest or aren't into blondes. So maybe we feel the same way when it comes to uncertainty. Just be outgoing (but be yourself still) and talk to the girls you are attracted to and see how things work out :)

I don't think it's impossible, but if you come on to them saying "I"m an Asian guy who is only attracted to white chicks" they will probably reject you. ;) You've gotta play it smoother than that.

I know a handful of white girls who have dated Asian guys. However, if you are a quiet/studious type of guy and are chasing after party girls ... that might be your problem. Find an interest you have and use it to your advantage to meet girls who are into the same stuff. Try joining a rec sports league, if you're into sporty chicks.

Well you can thank the media for demasculenizing the Asian male. Personally I ONLY date Asian men now after having a couple and what do you know, I live in Florida (Near Jacksonville). My current boyfriend is chinese and he has only ever dated white women. He has had no trouble at all in the dating department and sitting here asking him for you he says: "Well just be confident, your race doesn't matter it's all about how you present yourself to a woman. Dress well and dress up. Walk around in a 3 piece suit and look like a million bucks, trust me, you'll get girls"

Glad to hear a comment like that. The area of Florida that I live in, however, is the Miami metropolitan area. Part of the main reason why I prefer white women is because of my fascination with European culture. I LOVE Scandinavian culture to death! I tried to learn German in college. I am a heavy metal enthusiast (which has a majority white fanbase). Personality has a large factor in my preference.

I am! I'm currently dating a 6'2" Chinese guy, and at first I was shocked that he was attracted to me. But now I'm starting to think that it's because I'm closer to his height than most Asian women (I'm 5'10.5"). Being funny is not something that I'm good at, unfortunately. I have an extremely poor sense of humor, given that I'm mostly a quiet and stoic person. I, for one, don't. A good number of African American women were attracted to me and asked me out and I turned all of them down.

It's most likely because they want a disciplined and family-oriented man, someone whom they've never had as children.

But, I'm not too big into anime and manga myself, being more of a Star Trek and horror film buff, plus I don't have a lot of interest in African American culture, given that I am a metalhead and a goth; therefore, I am more into European stuff.

As a point most white men I see dating Asian women are short white guys. I guess that's because White's and Asians perceive height differently. I know from my family. I think what Asians consider normal whites consider short and what Asians consider tall whites consider average. Of course there are exceptions. But I think that because Asian girls consider short white guys average, it's easier for them to date an Asian than a white.
