guy friend do sort of hugging by putting his hand on the top of my head and leave(hold) it there for 10 seconds. does he see me as a kid or what does it mean?

He's just showing affection. Maybe it's the only thing he's willing to do in public... Ity doesn't mean he treatig you ike a kid. Most kids wouldn't put up with a hand on their head for 10 seconds!
