The Importance of Nude Photos in Long Distance Relationships

Hey guys! I haven't written a more mellow take in a while so I thought I'd write one this evening. So what're we talking about? We are discussing the importance of nude photos in Long Distance Relationships.

I only have a few points to make here so this will be a shorter myTake based on personal experience.

Without further ado, let us begin!

1: Tension

So we all know after a while in a relationship that isn't yet sexually active, sexual tensions can get quite high. With a long distance relationship whether it's cross-continental or just a few hours away regular sex to relieve that tension is hard and costly to accomplish. We all know that watching pornography and fantasizing about your lover achieve two entirely different effects. So having that visual stimuli while fantasizing can add an extra amount of relief of sexual tension within the relationship.

2: Anticipation

We all know how mind blowing and teasing waiting for the moment that you're lover is in your bed naked can be. Giving your LDR-SO (Long Distance Relationship Significant Other) something to look at can be the ultimate foreplay. Especially when there's a week or two hiatus between when you two can see each other. So sending R rated photos to this effect can drive any man or women up the wall with anticipation.

3: Showing you still want them

Without physical touch it can be difficult to SHOW your LDR-SO that you still find them physically attractive. You can tell them but as everyone knows "actions speak louder than words" so this is a good alternative. You can show them you still want them by sending them a picture with the caption "thinking about you" or something similar.

Conclusion:

So basically there is a lot of benefits to doing this. Of course you should never let someone force you into doing something that you aren't comfortable with. There's a lot more things that you can do to show these things but this is the most... direct... approach to it. Anyways guys, that's all i have for you tonight. I was once in a LDR with a husband that I still have out in Egypt. Along with the "Photos" which of course did Help us both, Skype as well, was our Best from the Rest. Open lines of Convo is probably the Main Factors in Keeping a Relationship a bit more Healthy Until the Both of you shall Meet and Greet Again... Or plan to.

What if you break up with them? To be honest, you don't know what that person will do with them. They could be a dick and could leak your nudes to other people. Just keep in mind that you trust this person and know what type of person they are before sending them.

Here's the thing - you have absolutely grasped that the physical element is far more important than most people realise, in LDR's.

Here's what your take neglects though. Given that LDR's have such a high failure rate, do you (girls in particular though) really want to send nudes to the guy who is going to be your ex in three months?

This is a good take, although I would have to say that I disagree with you. Sending nude pictures is just a disaster waiting to happen because some people save them onto their phones, or any other device.. And when you break up, then that person might use them against you.. Just a thought, but it happens more than you think.

Okay, that sexual thing u just said may add some "excitement" to the LDR. BUT, it can also be like some way to destroy it. From what I know the girl can be exited at the beginning but afterwards when she says to the guy she doesn't want to do it anymore he would get mad or annoyed or simply unhappy which will leave the girl wondering" dies he love ME or my naked body?" and that's a disaster. Therefore the girl would send her nudes only to please the guy. Recently I was in an LDR and my guy respected my opinion so much. Even when he asked and when I say no he doesn't get mad or annoyed it unhappy at all. That made me know that he isn't one of those jerks who are only after the body. I didn't feel used with him. And for that, I respect him and I loved him even more.

However, I have slightly different opinion.

I have severe trust issues.
If its strangers who meet online and get in relationship kind of thing, I would think at least 100 times before sending nude photos.
I wouldn't send nudes to someone I know for a very short amount of time in real life.
I would consider sending nudes to someone I see future with and who I know in real life for long time. Like, for example if I am in relationship for like more than year and then he has to move somewhere else then I may consider it.
But tbh, LDR are so not my thing. If its someplace within the country then its OK, otherwise no.

I hate to say I disagree with 90% of what the female opinions are saying...
Me and my boyfriend aren't even in a long distance relationship but I send him a nude or two at least once in 2-3 weeks. If you have trust problems, that's your problem. If your partner has given you a reason to not trust him, why be with someone you can't trust? My boyfriend would never use them against me because that's immature and disrespectful, and plain wrong. While I'm aware people can easily share the images you send in private, it's your job to make sure the person you're with is someone you trust otherwise why bother in the first place?
And also, just putting it out there, your face doesn't need to be in the photos... :)

I agree if your in a long distance relationsip. Eventually your going to be sexting. If not right away. So yes you need pictures to to sort of add or replace intimacy. Skype facetime while you both get off together. Ir just random sexy photos and nudes.

There's a certain point where it has to stop. My ldr ended up revolving around explicit photos, over a year my ex had a folder over over a thousand photos and videos. When asked to delete them he said "no, because then when you don't send new ones I have nothing ", I stopped sending them in the end because he was a dick. I ended up doing things in the content that I didn't like because I knew that it'd make him happy but it only lasted for a couple hours.
