Just gets me thinking do people even understand what love really feels like or do they just throw the word around to make people seem more significant?

i think people just say it to everyone I personally will say it to my friends but only those that I have been close with for a long time because I do love them but to anyone I'm in a relationship (since the feelings are different than with friends) with I refuse to say it unless I truly mean it. like there is no certain point like after a month I will say it no its not like that I have to truly mean it because to me that's a word with a very powerful meaning and I don't want to say it if I don't mean it.
Yes. I think we should adopt the terminology the ancient Greeks had for the four different types of love (agape, eros, philia, and storge). At least then there will be some distinction between types and added value to the term.
I agree!
Jumping from being "in love" with one person to another is a different thing than really throwing the word love around too much. "Love" can have multiple meanings and can express different types of love and fondness.
yes people say like o I've been in love this many times and I'm like it obviously wasn't love because you are 24 an have been with ten guys you obviously don't know what love is leave me alone you stupid whore
yeah some people are using it out of context. but whatever, as long as I know what I mean when I say it and its clearly understood.
