Dating a guy a bit over 11months and hasn't said "I love you"... Am I wasting my time? I know people grow to love people at different paces but it's almost a year. In my mind I feel like if he was going to fall in loved he'd be in love by now. I don't know what to think. Just don't want to be in a dead end situation. I've tried to show him that I love him and once I slipped and said it. Normally I wouldn't hold back but I don't want him to feel obligated to say something he doesn't mean. I'm starting to feel discouraged about the relationship and ready to give up. Just not sure what to do or how to feel about this.

Love isn't like they portrayed in the Disney movies. Communication is key in every successful relationship. If you don't want to spit it out, you can try to start the conversation with something benign like "hey hon, where do you see yourself in 5 years?" then see where the conversation goes. If he's that thick headed, you may need to be more direct.

Yes I'm in love with him. At this point I'm looking for a verbal declaration of love. Actions can easily be misunderstood, words not so much. Sometimes his actions day I love you, sometimes I feel like they dont. I'm just wondering if he loved me why he's not saying anything. To me its strange. I'm justti Year thinking if he doesn't love me it may be time to get out.

Okay well, my best advice is concider telling him exactly what you just put as your question. You need to tell him how you feel, cause he could be feeling the same exact way and is just waiting for you to say it. Try saying something like " look babe, I can't take it anymore, I've been waiting for so long and you need to know that I'm in love with you, and I don't want you to feel pressured to say you feel the same, but if you love me then say it cause I am one hundred percent in love"
