When a guy adds you on Facebook do you expect messages from him?

I add some girls for this reason (ones I've met) but I get too scared to send them anything and it doesn't go anywhere, a few have even deleted me

then why don't gilrs ever message first? and is it a hint to try and say somthing when "like" the new pictures you post

Nope, personally I don't care if they add and don't message me because I'm not interested anyway. I prefer face to face so much so that everything else is like bleh, an annoyance even (not because of them or what they say, I just don't like the medium itself even if it is useful).

I would definitely expect this guy to tell me who he is especially if I have never seen him in my life. I'd delete him after a while if he doesn't send me a message. Why? He invited me on Facebook, so I think it's on him to tell me who he is and why he sent me a request.

haha honestly don't see how you could know that...like seriously I don't think many people are doing that. like sure they'll check out your profile when they first add you just to see what you like and stuff. but very few people are just out there to stalk people...
