My girlfriend has been going through my facebook?

I left my laptop with her whilst I went out for a few hours yesterday. Today I needed to find a site I visited last week and so was checking the browser history.

To my surprise, my facebook account had been thumbed through during the hours I was out - pictures, messages and the profile of my ex girlfriend had been looked at.

Probably my own stupid fault for having it auto-login, but should I confront her about this or just put it down to curiosity? I'm now worried that this isn't the first time and that she doesn't trust me... what should I do?

Sorry that happened to you. The tempation was so great thaat she couldn't resist. Maybe you would have done the same if the roles were reversed. did you have anything to be nervous about? It doesn't sound like it. If you had nothing to be embarassed about I bet you have just increased the trust in your relationship in a warped way.

Now it is time to talk to her though because boundaries should be established. I wuold say now that I know you have been looking at my stuff I do feel like not only you don't trust me but also violated.I want us to respect each other and our privacy. I forgive you and want to know why you did it and to please not do it again.

My ex did that too me, but he was going threw everything of mine and in one message I said something about I how I thought I might love someone, and I was gonna dump I'm if it did not go away, even thou I was madly in love with him. He left with out a warning and then months later confessed when I was crying over him leaving.

I really wish he would of talked to me, like he found out therw my phone that I had sex with an ex of mine but he thought it was after we were dating when it was before. stuff like that can really f*** trust in the ass. also Change your passwords, and if she does it again, Dump HER

Ugh.. I know how you feel. If she has no signs or indications that you are doing anything then I would confront her and ask her not to do it. That's invasion of privacy. Anything she saw could EASILY be misinterpreted. I would just ask her what the reason for looking through my things was and try to alleviate some of her concerns. She could be a little insecure and not getting any reassurance from you. I wouldn't approach the situation with any strong emotion though. Just be calm about it. If you are angry it may draw suspicion and continue to do it w/o your knowledge.

Well in the first place you need to go to you,r so called friend and tell that was not cool what she did by going throw you,r Facebook and ask her if she would like it if you went trow her Facebook and got her ex info and you pictures remove and this friend of you,r it may be she what to date you ex girl friend did you ever think of that one stop kick you,r self in the ass for leaving you,r lap top with you friend this one all on you and she should not have gone throw you,r stuff on there so step up and tell her what she did was f*** up and let it go at that

Don't worry about it. She's curious about you, so instead of directly asking questions, she'd rather find out by any passive opportunity.

No reason to confront her about it - afterall, it's your fault you didn't log off.

Take it as a compliment instead - you're an interesting guy, wearing a mystery cloak.

Next time you talk to her, you could tease her about it, saying "Hey, so did you have fun on my FB page? What'd you learn about me? :D"

I would not want a guy to go through my fb account so likewise I have not gone through my guy's facebook account either. it's just go both ways.

some girls or guys are OK with this, but I'm not. I think she is a bit snoopy to be honest.

Some people don't mind a snoopy girlfriend. I'm a girl and personally I hate snoopy people.

It's up to you if you want to confront her on this one and just a brief statement saying hey if you want to go through my stuff I have no prob with this but you can do it when I'm present. Something like that because everyone's entitled to their own personal space...

I agree with xxsassygirl... It doesn't mean that she doesn't 'trust' you. Along with that, I don't think she did anything wrong. I believe it is normal to check out stuff like that when you have the opportunity. If she didn't, then I would be concerned- that might be indication that she doesn't care about you and she is doing her own thing on a side.

Do I think you should confront her, yes. But don't make it so much for a confrontation- sit down with her, tell her you've noticed that she thumbed through your FB account and ask her if she had any questions or concerns about anything. Along with that, give her the opportunity to look through your FB together with you. This will reassure her that she has nothing to worry about and she will respect you more. Just trust me on this one...best of luck...

I don't know about confronting her... Maybe, just password protect your laptop in general, so that the computer cannot be used without your password. Just do, and do not say anything about it to her. Then if she has the nerve to say, "hey what's up," you can express vague concern about privacy violations. She will get the hint. I am all for openness and honesty in relationships, but we should not have to expose every single item, letter, picture to the scrutiny of another. I am assuming that you have done nothing that would give your lady cause to worry, so asking for your space to be respected is not requesting too much.

I've been known to do that myself. And to MY suprise I found out things he was doing that he shouldn't of been. Well, it is just a natural thing for your girlfriend to look a little. maybe she was just curious but I would confront her about and ask her if she has trust issues. Try not to be too hard on her.

If you see this as a genuine invasion of privacy, then talk to her about it, but be really careful and avoid being at all accusatory. Have a discussion with her, don't tell her about how wrong she was and how she can never do that again.

Most women would do this if given the opportunity.

Well,How long have you guys been dating? Every body needs privacy but if I have been with a person for quite some time, I give them my pass words because we are a couple and nothing should be kept from each other, but that doesn't mean go sneaking behind my back. I would say she is just curious. We all get like that, especially women. I would ask her why she did just to see if their is anything wrong and insecurities on her part.

She might have just been interested to find out a bit more about you, I've been through my bf's pictures without him being there (not that I think he'd have a problem with that), just out of curiosity, not jealousy.

It's natural for her to want to check out your ex to see what she is being compared to, or what your 'type' might be.

Just casually ask her why, and if she gets defensive/upset then you have a problem.

You two obviously have some trust issues going on. I think as a girl, call her out on it, but in a mild-temper. Don't do if accusingly. There's probably something deeper going on, if she feels the need to look through your facebook and especially your ex on top of that. But then again I'm just a teenager. :)

Well I have done that a couple of times... I just wanted to know what she looked like to be honest... and sadly I got upset about it as she looks much hotter than me... so for me it was insecurity reasons... so it could be the same thing... Also I wanted to make sure she wasn't messaging him or anything... so it wasn't him I was spying on...it was her.

All girls do it though most lie about it or make excuses. You can confront her but it's not gonna make anything better. Like I said ALL girls do it. Use that to your advantage, let her do that again but make sure you create a fake friend account (girl is better) where you send a few messages back and forth where you praise your real girlfriend, and let her read that behind your back. She'll be so happy and more secure, and you'll get good sex in return.

It depends, if it is a new relatiosnhip, she's definitely trying to find out mroe so Id say its only curiousity...However, if you guys have been together for a long time I'd say she's probably suspiciious and she just wants to find relief
