So long story short I dated my ex for a year but were really good friends for about 2 years before this. towards the end we were longish distance because of college (about an hour and a half) and he ended up cheating on me (kissing another girl at a party) and calling it off. I was really sad but it’s been about 9 months and he apologized for his actions and told me it was the biggest mistake he has made. The problem is I still think I’m in love with him, and based on what he said I have reasons to believe that he might feel the same. Do I admit to him that I still have pretty strong feelings for him?

You appear to have a different definition of cheating than the accepted one. Did he, or did he not have sexual intercourse with someone else before breaking it off with you? It sounds like the answer is 'no'.

He actually defined it as cheating when breaking up with me, and I assumed that he did have sex with her (which he later did). So in his opinion he felt like he was cheating in regard to our relationship so he called it off, which is respectable. I just think it’s something to consider

That’s what I don’t know... the reason he cheated was because he was lonely with no friends and went for the only person giving him attention. I don’t think he would do it again based on what he’s told me but men suck so I don’t know.
