Divorce has nothing to do with what religion you were raised in. It has to do with the time you were raised in. Divorce is easily obtained and many people don'tsee the value in working in a relationship to resolve conflicts. Because of THAT, people just walk out the door.
Decades ago and in my parents' generation, divorce didn't happen. I was raised Catholic. You were EXCOMMUNICATED from the church if you got a divorce when I was a child. You had to REALLY want to get one and be committed to a loss of your relationship with your religious community.
Now, divorces are common and simple to complete.
Before, people were married for life because there WERE no options.
Do we know what percentage of marriages were HAPPY when there were no options. I'd venture to say that 50 percent of divorces is the REAL number of good vs failed marriages since marriage has been instituted. But people stayed for the children, because they had no financial agency, because they were lazy, because they were comfortable and a major change wasn't worth it to them... a hundred reasons.
Are you not aware that Donny & Marie are brother & sister?
What? They were married, isn't it illegal for brothers and sisters to get married? What exactly did I miss here, next thing 🤣😅 you're going to tell me is that David Cassidy and Danny bunny dutchie slid out of the same uterus 🤯 together‼️⁉️ Typo from my dumb phone stupid free Google text to speech app. here's my text to image response to Google's stupid app.🖕Stylo 6 can suck it.
P. S. Danny Bandeducci andvDavid Cassidy did not slide out the same uterus, even though they were both a couple of mama's boys all their lives. Donnie and Marie are brother and sister, and in any state I've ever lived in, marriage for them would be a felony. It would also explain a lot about their relationship, though. "I'm A Little bit of country, I'm a little bit of rock and roll, inside my head, I got a big hole-💩♀️♂️💩!"
That's half a headline. Donnie and Marie are brother and sister. Marie was divorced but has since remarried her first husband. Donnie has been married for 40 years.
EXCLUSIVE: Love can strike twice -- just ask Marie Osmond.
The entertainer remarried her first husband Steve Craig in 2011, which was 26 years after their divorce.
"I think I’m crazy and he tolerates me," Osmond, 61, joked to Fox News. "But seriously, it’s the greatest thing in the world. I think you learn what’s important. You learn to let go. We wanted to move forward, communicate better, and fix the areas [in our relationship] that needed fixing."

Why do you hold up Mormons as having some superpowers with respect to marriage. They are as human as anyone else. And these two particular Mormons have lifestyles that place unique stresses on a marriage.
Just for clarification, Donnie and Marie are brother and sister (they can still be divorced with their respective spouses (or ex-spouses), but people would infer that they were married to each other.
Marie is twice divorced.
Donny seems to have been married to the same woman for over 42 years... I haven't heard of him being divorced, unless a marriage was short lived (and when he was REALLY young).
I think there are a bunch of factors to whether a couple gets divorced or decides to stick together (or they stay together but apart or are married mostly just in name only)- religion can be an aspect, but not always.
Donnie and Marie are brother and sister, and part of a larger performing family called the Osmonds. Donnie and Marie continued after the rest of the family quit, and had a variety show and did lots of performances together in the 70s and early 80s, but they were never married to each other, because they're brother and sister!
Donnie has been married for 40+ years and is not divorced. Marie is divorced from her husband (who is not Donnie).
Thanks for saving me from having to type that 🤣 although guess our age showing lololol
Uhmmmm. Donnie and Marie are brother and sister. Donnie Osmond's spouse was Debbie Osmond, whom he married in 1978. They are still married as of this writing.
Donnie and Marie Osmond recently ended their long running Las Vegas show in 2019. It being fair that, true love or not, Hollywood singing careers cannot go on forever.
Good! I found their marriage creepy. They had too much mouth ivory for one incestuous couple. Look at those ridiculous choppers!
When did they divorce ?
If it was recently i call that a great run and there is nothing to be ashamed about
Most couples would take that only staying together till the end would be better
Give them their silver metal
Lmao
Losers
It makes me sad, but if it's the right thing for both of them, then they need to so they can move on with their lives, perhaps true love doesn't always last for ever,,,
No fault divorce is yet another tragic reality in our country.
I thought they were siblings not husband and wife lol
I never did really know who they were or where they came from.
Most celebrities do get divorced, though. Because the power and fame gets to their heads.
Oh Dear... Boo Hoo Hoo !
Who gives a flying fornication if a couple of ultra-wealthy people get a divorce?
Almost half of all marriages in the USA end in divorce so one more is not a BFD.
Donny & Marie Osmond,
Our Brother and Sister their not opposed to be married they have no reason to be divorced.
monogamy is not realistic... sorry... men are biologically driven to "spread" their seed, always have been always will be... it's a biological imperative
Mormonism is literally like a cult
Why would anyone care? That’s weird to be obsessed with other people’s lives
There's two more people I can add to my " who cares?" list. Doesn't make me sad. Mormonism is screwed anyway.
How, I always thought they are brother and sister..
I have no clue who they are or what mormons are but I know true love exists. I know for a fact!!
That's old news, bro. Celebrities are airheads and their relationships don't last.
