Why did I get over my ex so quickly?

I was in a serious relationship with a Man for over an year. I loved him so much to the point I convinced myself and believed we were going to get married and have kids. We never argued and had a beautiful relationship. Towards the end of our relationship we had some disagreements and he used it as an excuse to break things off out of the blue. It was extremely painful and I was completely heart broken for two weeks. He revealed his true colors and hurt me deeply after the breakup and I decided I wasn't going to stay home crying for him while he's doing all these things to hurt me. After those two weeks I started getting over the break up and stopped thinking about him in a romantic way. I realized I no longer wanted him back in my life and reconciliation was impossible after what he did to me. The love started fading until I no longer loved him anymore. One month later I met someone who I'm still talking to he's not my boyfriend yet but we're enjoying being around each other and getting to know each other. I feel like all this happen so quickly and I don't understand how I loved my ex so much and got over him so quickly. Was I completely delusional and didn't have any true feelings for him? It usually takes me some time to get over someone but this time it was different.
