Me and and my ex broke up a year ago and I still cannot forget her , she is dating someone else and they are happy , I feel so broken happy for her?

our break up was mostly mutual due to long distance and we were still in love , though i believe I could have fought for us , she told me that she was seeing someone (i have known they are together since a long time now) ,

I did not handle it well and broke down sending apology messages and such she blocked me but not on all social media. I ofc gave her space and respect her new found love.

it has been months now and whenever i remember her i feel sad and so broken that i let her go. I just donot know what to do her final words broke my heart she said our path is no longer together it just haunts me have been 5 months since last i heard of her or even checked her social media. i am working on myself but my heart just says would she ever come back to me

I'm sorry you are having a hard time getting over your ex. It is never an easy thing to do. The one thing that heals that heartbreak is time. Yes, I see in the details it has been some time that has passed.

You have to remember that everyone is different though. People take a different amount of time to get over things. You just might require more time than others. There is really nothing you can do.

While I would like to say get yourself out there again and meet someone new, it does not sound like you are ready for that. It would not be fair to the person you meet that you still have such deep feelings for your ex. You just need to come to the reality that things are over and she has moved on... as hard as that is to do.
