Girls, I miss her so much but she says that I'm immature yet she still keeps in contact?

A week ago my girlfriend now ex broke up with me amicably but she still keeps in contact and has met up with me a few times, when asked why she broke up with me she says that she is not a good person or I'm just a boy (I'm immature is I think she is saying), I'm still clueless why she would keep in contact.

Right now I feel that she just wants a relationship without commitment and why wouldn't she? She is a foreign exchange student in my country and she will be returning to her country in 2 months but will be returning next year for her last year in university here.

I have expressed my plans to stay with her long term, she did say that she also wants to stay with me long term but when she broke up with me she says that she doesn't know if she will even live past 25

Deep down inside I want to believe that this break is temporary I want to believe that we just need a break to work on ourselves. Whenever we meet up outside, we still hold hands, share food and hug we just don't kiss. I'm just confused about what is happening.
