A couple months ago my ex unblocked my number and we started slowly talking and we just recently started following each other on social media and even send each other reels. A couple days ago I asked her where our relationship is and she thinks where it's going and she was unable to answer it and instead, she asked me where our relationship is and I said we were more like strangers than exs
I asked why she was even talking to me when dating someone and she also didn't give me a straight answer and instead said who's stopping her which made me think that she lied about having a boyfriend. I even asked her out stargazing and at first she gave me an answer that seem like a yes then she suddenly said that she thinks she doesn't want to meet me irl because of the thought of what happened between us
I'm confused on why she won't give me a straight answer, can someone give me their perspective on this?

Bro, this whole situation sounds mega confusing. Like why is she talking to you again and hinting at stuff if she's really dating someone else? That doesn't add up.
My best guess is she's not really over you deep down, but isn't ready to fully get back together either. So she's kind of keeping you on the hook while also seeing what else is out there. Not cool of her to play games like that.
I'd say try not to read too much into her mixed signals - she clearly has some stuff to figure out herself. As much as you probably still have feelings, you don't wanna be someone's second option either, you know?
Maybe tell her you can't be just friends until she gets her stuff straightened out. You deserve better than being confused and led on. Then I'd say try to move on for real this time man. Easier said than done, but try hitting the gym, some new hobbies.
If down the road she straightens her head out and you're both single and actually want the same thing, then maybe see what's up. But don't hang around waiting - focus on you for now bro. You'll find someone who treats you right!
Try being just friends for now. It is not complicated.
