My boyfriend's ex killed herself, what am I suppose to do?

I just found out last night that my bf's ex killed herself. Apparently she has been struggling with depression and drug addiction for quite some time now. But they were were in a on and off relationship for a few years. Even though, I've been with my boyfriend for about a year and a half, I know that this news has been upsetting him.

I really don't know how to react to this, especially being his girlfriend. Comfort him? Yea, that thought came to mind but I can't really say much about her being a good person and that she will be missed... but I'm not really fond of her.

So what can I do?

Ask him if there is anything that you can do for him.

Chances are, he'll say no but it still shows you trying.

yea.. kind of a ridiculous question. But sometimes it can be very hard for me to be empathetic, especially when I feel that the person wasn't really a good person to begin with.
