You say these things... but I see man after man opting for the dumb bitch with the hot body, rather than the woman with the intellect and certain standards.

Generally speaking most women prefer a man who's smarter, more successful, stronger, more financially secure and more dominant than they themselves are. Seems that no matter how high value they might be a women always prefer a man above her dating worth.
Back in the days when I was young and naive I would go for any man that would show me what I thought was love or my type but now after a divorce and been disappointed too many times... I'll rather go for what you've mentioned but most of all just for financial security because at the end of the day when you can not work and have to stay home with the kids you want a men that can deliver financially while you take care of things at home (old fashioned). Too bad there is not so many wealthy men out there that will settle for an old divorced, single mother... they rather go for the pretty model fresh meat trophy woman because they CAN.

There is no correlation between looks and intelligence. There are lots of smart, hot women, and dumb average/ugly ones. Most of the dumb women called 'hot' are actually just fake (i. e. fake tan, hair, breasts etc)
True! Plus there are a lot of dumb but average looking women and smart but average looking women. Average as in not ugly but not stunning. You feel me?
@frozenhorizon it tends to help you get through the profession. I don't think I would have been able to get through four years of engineering school and now most of my masters in engineering without being halfway intelligent.
Bullshit. Smart girls try even harder than smart guys to prove how smart they are, like they're carrying this massive chip on their collective shoulder that makes them want every guy to eat shit. Too much ego kills likability every time.
No, not even close. I'm an ME undergrad, and I study with girls in my major all the time. Two of them I consider friends. And I disagree with your postulate that guys have this need to be smarter. I see just as many girls walking around trying to prove that they're better than the guys in my major. The only reason guys even engage in one-upsmanship is because girls only want guys who have some sort of status. Being humble, respectful, and mild-mannered gets guys rejected socially by women.
I can say the exact same for you. Just because *you* think I have something against girls in STEM doesn't make it true. Most girls in STEM don't want to date guys in STEM. Even you present dating guys in these fields as a sort of fallback plan:
"Us girls in STEM have to stand our ground. Or date guys in STEM."
Yeah, either fight tooth and nail for yourselves, or just give up and date nerds.
@BigJake contrary to what many people may think, you need all kinds of people skills in STEM. As an engineer, you need to be attracting clients and understanding the needs of those clients. This is mostly done through verbal communication. Doctors need good bedside manner if they're ever going to keep their patients. People in the pure sciences need to charm investors so they can get grants. Probably the only field where soft skills aren't the most important part of the job is in tech.
I don't want to date another engineer because I don't need to be with someone who thinks along the same lines as I do. I already know what I think; I want to count on getting a different perspective. But that still leaves three other fields.
When did I ever say that people skills aren't necessary for engineers? And how does that even relate to what I wrote?
I do disagree, however, that soft skills are the most important part of engineering. If you believe that about engineering, you've never had to do any actual engineering.
@BigJake technical skills can be taught. Soft skills usually cannot. The people who get promoted and steered towards managerial roles tend to be the ones with the full package, not those who are just technically proficient.
The people who get promoted to management positions in engineering are the ones who lack technical skills. They're put in management because they can't do anything else. I don't know a single talented engineering student who aspires to be in management. That would be like taking the best player on the team off the court and making him the coach.
It was a play on words. He's basically saying if these 6 reasons aren't intriguing to you, then you shouldn't date a smart girl. It's a writer's technique people use to grab attention: Say something rude and off the wall or offensive, then go another direction with it.
Great great take, agree with it all especially #4,3 &1. Cannot emphasise number 1 more, it's so attractive when the woman can keep up and challenge you back.
One of my favorite quotes comes from The 13th Warrior. It's when one of the vikings tosses a sword to Antonio Banderas' character and Banderas says, "I cannot lift this."

Don't we all? lol
@kat_gran well men and woman discriminate differently when it comes to choosing a partner generally speaking of course.

And then they can't be fucked reading it.

From what I've noticed, men like to be the smartest in the relationship. Us girls in STEM have to stand our ground. Or date guys in STEM.
Just because someone is in "STEM" doesn't mean they're smart :D

@BigJake man, you have a really low opinion of women in STEM, don't you?
No, not even close. I'm an ME undergrad, and I study with girls in my major all the time. Two of them I consider friends. And I disagree with your postulate that guys have this need to be smarter. @BigJake disagree all you like. It doesn't make your observation true for my life.

@BigJake oy vey. Maybe that's how it works for you all, but that's not the way it is here.
You have much to learn about the working world.
@BigJake and you have much to learn about how to speak to people without patronizing them.
As a dumb woman I am offended by what you wrote here... No I'm just kidding, I'm freeking Einstine bitch!
So... your title has nothing to do with the reasons...
I agree with the reasons, not with the premise in the title, though.
It was a play on words. He's basically saying if these 6 reasons aren't intriguing to you, then you shouldn't date a smart girl. It's a writer's technique people use to grab attention: Say something rude and off the wall or offensive, then go another direction with it.
@EllieLexis513 I know. Still don't agree with it.
Well you got me! lol
Great great take, agree with it all especially #4,3 &1. Cannot emphasise number 1 more, it's so attractive when the woman can keep up and challenge you back.
So what are the dumb girls supposed to do, just be alone forever?
One of my favorite quotes comes from The 13th Warrior. It's when one of the vikings tosses a sword to Antonio Banderas' character and Banderas says, "I cannot lift this."
The viking replies, "Grow stronger!"
No, but I think that 'dumb' kind of equates to vacuous/vapid rather than unable to learn...
I see you wrote this for the intelligent man.
Well... okay, yeah. ;)
Oh u r so wicked with tht headline 😂 .
Nice take by the way.
It's true. I'm in a relationship with a smart, young, strong woman, and I feel younger and more challenged than before. She keeps me young.
I'm married to a woman I consider my equal and I've always been very happy about that.
I disagree. This is the mentality that births pretentious fools who have a basic level degree and no experience.
The term "pretentious fools" is almost exclusively used by boy-men who never grew up and think speaking in complete sentences is "pretentious."
"Almost" being the key word.
But the hard part is to get a samrt women to actually like guys...
Did not read all of it. Was not bothered. Ahahaha...
Girl in the first photo looks attractive with those glasses.
They look like fake glasses to me hahaha
@frozenhorizon fake or not, she looks good with them
Lol yeah true they suit her.
Pretty good take. Smarts and wit are definitely good points.
One thing gets me, why are there so many smart women single?
Sure smart guy has women all over him
