That's what most people here have said. I've actually had a psychiatrist say I'm not a narcissist, not even close. My father is a narcissist, so yes, I know the qualities of one

No I didn't have myself assessed for anything. My mother tried to have me diagnosed with something so she wouldn't have to accept that her problems after because she's a paranoid schizophrenic. She had my brother diagnosed as a mental invalid when there was nothing wrong with him and sent my sister to a pychward for a year in highschool. She was unable to get a diagnosis out of the psychiatrist because he saw through her and realized I am mentally sane

It seems as if you feel like you have to justify everything and have a response to everything someone says about you.

You have feelings of insecurities and inadequecy and you know it. What else had your psychiatrist said? Because i don't believe you were fully sent off as perfect or normal because even if your mother was 'paranoid' and 'schizophrenic', something would have still triggered her to achieve such a reaction. Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Also, this is a very unlikely combination? A woman with paranoia and schizophrenia marrying a narcissist? Surely the father MUST have triggered the SHIT out of his partner? How would a marriage eventually happen?

I'm responding to anyone who posts on my thread because I have conviction in the things I say and integrity in following through with the things I start

He was a narcissist when they married. He had a schizophrenic break when I was an infant. As I wasn't old enough to know either of them before her break, it is my belief that he drove her to it. Her father is also a paranoid schizophrenic, so she had he genetic predisposition for it

I will agree that my childhood was extremely unlikely, but so was having life on Earth. The truth can be stranger than fiction

If you doubt the extent of her insanity, you can read the 200+ page case file that CPS filed for my immediate family. Several pages bear the quote "I'd rather drive my children off the pier than ever let them see their father again" 1998. She also told the judge my father is a James Bond villian who can read minds

      My mother is pure evil

I have plenty of self confidence and am secure in my thought processes

I'll happily agree with the sentiment that the person who asked the other one out is expected to foot the bill. The rest of this I don't agree much with.

From the very start, working off the assumption "I asked you out"

That's usually false in my case
Surely you don't expect me to pay

If you read MyTake , then you'd see I do agree with you. I believe the asker needs to pay for asking someone out on a date. This isn't gender -specific and applies to gay and lesbian couples as well. My lesbian who identifies as a beta male agrees with me

if a girl wants to ask you out, then she needs to pay for the date she offered to take you on. Otherwise she is disrespecting you

She identifies as a beta male in the dating hierarchy. (Like Leanor, Sheldon, Howard, and Raj from The Big Bang Theory) She understands that she is a woman with with female genitalia. She is not attracted to men at all, so she is a lesbian. She is the one who originally asked her wife out and paid for the first date willingly and eagerly

      Ohhh okay, I see.
So wait, can I identify as a beta female but only in the dating hierarchy if I essentially fill that role? This is news to me.

It has nothing to do with what you can do. If you do, then you can. But you can't just decide you want to switch because you don't want to pay for dates. If you feel like a beta female, then I'm sure you'll be able to find a dominatrix who acts like an alpha male.

It's not that no girls ask guys out, it's about what girls do and what girls don't. Usually girls who do ask guys out are assertive and dominant throughout all areas of their lives. If you prefer dominant and assertive females who want to take care of and provide for you, then you should wait for one of these girls to come up to you.

If you are willing to and can happily fill a role through all areas of you life, then you can absolutely fill that particular role in the dating hierarchy as well

Most gay and lesbian relationships have a "man" and a "woman" role despite both having the same genitalia. Therefore, there are plenty of men in alpha female and beta female and plenty of women in alpha male and beta male roles

To know that like 99 % of the time it's men who ask the women out and decide which restaurant he want to go if he ask for 50 / 50 I would take it as a I don't want to see you again.

Has it occurred to you that women almost never ask out men

Yes. I was also considering writing a MyTake on why men should start asking women out based on the reasons why most women won't ask men out. I've had a few guys here say they need a push for it, so I'd hope I'd be able to give them a little push with that

If girls want to ask guys out, then they should, but the reality is most of them don't for several reasons you aren't going to be able to change. It is much less likely for a woman who never asks men out to end up alone than men who never ask women out

If you don't ask women out, then you're not only decreasing your chances significantly, but you also risk losing a girl you care deeply about or desire immensely. If you don't ask women out, you will have very few prospects and dates

And I said in the beginning that a woman who asks a man out should pay for him

Financial issues aside, women almost NEVER ask men out. That pressure tends to create resentment in the men. I'm not saying that it's right, but it is part of the reality. Society was moving forward for a while but today we are moving backwards even faster. The mixed signals are very confusing to men and women alike. I never found that whole MIGTOW thing very appealing, but guys including myself have felt more and more alienated lately and are more comfortable not approaching girls.

I couldn't agree more with everything you've said here. I think part of the reason boys growing up I'm society today have issues asking women out is because the social construct of society and schools tries to teach everyone that they're equal instead of teaching them about winning and losing. Losing sucks, but not ever losing sucks more because it coddles you from ever having to face loss or rejection. If boys were taught about how to deal with rejection at a younger age, then I think we'd see this trend change of men withdrawing from women

And don't think girls these days are anymore comfortable talking to you than you are talking to them. Most girls are equally as flustered around guys they like. There's a fundamental dysfunction we're seeing here with new generations that nobody has ever had to deal with on a large scale before

I agree that guys need a push, I'm pretty shy myself and have probably missed a few opportunities. I disagree though about women not asking men out. They also limit their prospects by waiting on the guy. I know from experience most girls look at shy guys as weak and stupid. Unmanly even. This creates some of that resentment and limits opportunities for both sexes.

There are a lot of girls who would benefit from asking guys out. But there are so many more reasons why girls don't ask guys out that guys should work on their courage more than expecting girls to

A girl who doesn't ask guys out is more likely to have guys ask her out, so there's always the hope that a guy will ask her out to fall back on. A guy who doesn't ask girls out doesn't have the hope that a girl will ask him out. But girls and guys who don't ask the other one out both miss out on plenty of opportunities

If you're shy, then start building your confidence by talking to random women who are much older than you or not what you would consider attractive. If you start off slowly with girls you don't get flustered around because you don't want to date them, then you'll eventually be able to feel more comfortable approaching girls you are attracted to. Most girls are equally as nervous around attractive guys as you are around them

I get shy around guys when they hit on me myself

Well in that case I don't think you'll have too much of a problem with not asking women out. Cougars and other women who prefer younger men generally prefer to be the dominant ones who ask men out. They tend to have a particular look in guys that they're looking for and go after what they want when they see it. I'm sure ther'es a nice older woman out there who would love to teach you how she wants to be loved.

And they're generally career-oriented women who like to pay for their dates as well. As I said at the beginning of this MyTake, whoever asks should pay. Make sure you don't settle for a woman who doesn't pay for you if this is the type of woman you're into.

If I liked the guy, then the first date wouldn't get repeated. If I had a boyfriend, then I'd shower him with all the spare change and affection I have. I would treat him like a king... or master... Whatever he preferred

If you're saying you never get past the first date, then maybe you need improve your social skills. If you're bad at small talk, then practice some small talk. If you have a unibrow, wax it

You're right that guys don't like girls who take them for granted, but that doesn't make me one of those girls. Maybe I should act like one of them and start taking guys for granted to make them leave me alone
