Maybe get your mom in on it, and make up some thing like a doctor's visit?

Or you could honestly just say, "I don't really wanna bond this weekend, why don't we go to a movie next weekend?"

In a movie you don't have to talk lol, or maybe just request going to a movie for this weekend? Then, you're only with him a couple hours and you don't have to talk a boring person! Haha

Try periods, fathers usually stay away from that kind of thing, it could work
