Why do girls go back and forth?

so me and my girlfriend have been talking after taking a break for a couple months and she says "everything will get better between us, I promise" and she doesn't want to be with anyone else and can't stop thinking of me but yet when I text her stuff like "number changed just letting you know" and small things like that I get no response. Why is that?

She either wants to be with you or she doesn't. Tell her to make a choice and stick with it because leading you on going hot and cold is ridiculous.
