Why do guys only seem to like outgoing girls?

I'm 22 years old, and in college. I have had boyfriends in the past, so I have reason to believe my looks are at least decent. Without tooting my own horn, I do think I have plenty to offer a guy, yet they always seem to prefer really outgoing, flirty girls. I'd hate to change myself to please guys, since whenever I try to be bubbly it always looks really forced and unnatural. I am generally friendly, and can hold a conversation well, it's just that initial step of getting them to talk to me that's difficult! I feel like I'm missing out on many romantic opportunities because I'm not "out there" enough. What is it about more reserved girls that puts guys off?

Don't worry, yes some guys prefer the outgoing ones because they seems more fun and exciting. but that doesn't mean you are, the right ones will get to know you and see you are just as fun. Guys like someone who is confident in their own skin, so be yourself and love it. They are drawn to that energy. outgoing girls sometimes also seem easy, which is another reason they tend to go for them

This is why I liked shy girls better. Also shy girls can have a quiet confidence as opposed to a "get out of my way, world, I'm taking over" kind of confidence.

The outgoing girls are like "low hanging fruit", easier to "pick" and so they get "picked sooner".
But shy girls are extremely attractive! You might be driving some guy crazy even now, but you're just not aware of it.
Expect less quantity of guys, but higher quality.

I like introverts, shy women. (That is how my personality is, I am introvert by nature)

in fact the more outgoing / social bubble a person is , the less attractive I am to her ( never knew why)

Plenty of guys -like- the idea of shy girls. But they're much harder to -actually- approach or flirt with or make a move on.

shyness is a turnoff for both genders. have you seen the struggle of a shy guy? ? its similar to yours.

@Dnly01 to an extent, you have to grow as a person and force yourself to do things you might not be comfortable with. I'm pretty shy/reserved, but I'm at the point where I need to start talking to more ladies. Agreed that if you sit there and dont say anything as a girl with your arms crossed, a guy probably won't approach you.
