We didn't match on Tinder, does it mean he doesn't like me?

I found my crush on Tinder but we didn't match. I was a bit surprised to see him there and I'm sure he was surprised too. We're not really friends, just former co-workers (I quit working there 3 weeks ago). We talked couple of times at work and had some interactions on social media here and there. He used to stare at me a lot back then when I was working there. And after I quit, he started liking and commenting on my FB pictures a lot (selfies). I also heard he was asking about me, too. This gave me a green light to ask him about, but then this Tinder thing happened and now I don't know what to do? He doesn't like me, right?

An app can't correctly judge the perfect person for you. It can only show you a person that is in line with the information you give it. Tinder tho based in swipes is still the same. Now he could be doing one of 2 things he either knows you like him and is toying with you (but I doubt he would be doing that) or he didn't realize how much he liked you until you left. it all boils down to your feelings and the risk your willing to take for them.

You know, it does imply that he didn't swipe right on you, but I think finding someone that you know in real life on Tinder can be awkward so it's not necessarily true that he doesn't like you. However, it's definitely not a positive sign. If he gives another negative sign going forward, I'd move on and forget about him.

Tinder might be a dating app, but it's a hookup app. Some guys will sleep around until they can find a women to date, and some of these guys won't mix the two categories; they won't date girls who will go to bed outside a relationship. Seeing you on this app might have given him the wrong idea, and turned him off to you.

You didn't match. So what? Maybe he lied to make himself seem more interesting, maybe you did. Maybe, one of you doesn't know yourselves well enough to give accurate answers to the match questions.

He may not have seen your profile or, like a number of people, doesn't right swipe on people he knows.

That's also a possibility, yes. But I guess there's nothing I can do now, right? Or should I do? Should I still ask him out?

If you don't see him much then the worst that can happen is he says no and you move on.
It's pretty much a no lose option.
