Would you date a girl that had a black belt in martial arts?
I don't see a huge difference as far as personal threat to me, not because I think I'm a bad-ass, but even the weakest girl could slit my throat with a kitchen knife while I was sleeping if she wanted or poison my food. So sure, I'd date her if I was attracted.
Besides that, I was the fastest sprinter on my track team (~10.5 secs for 100M dash), so she might be a black belt in martial arts, but if she gets so pissed off with me that she wants to use her skills on me, she'd have to catch me first... :-D And I can sprint pretty fast still. And finally, being a bit more serious, if the girl is a proper black belt in martial arts, then she wouldn't resort to those skills out of anger. I'd expect her to be a very mentally disciplined and balanced individual, strong not only in body, but also in mind.
My wife also excelled in judo and kendo as a little girl. I am not sure what sort of belt she had (I'll ask her when she comes home), but she's not the type who would ever apply those skills to someone who wasn't posing a great threat to her. So I have nothing to worry about as far as I see it.
Oh I'd totally date a girl who could kick my ass. That's actually pretty hot. I'm not at all emasculated by that Idea. Because of my personal preference of power dynamics during some games in the bedroom, I'd feel really motivated to get in better shape.
In general, I'd want her to teach me stuff too. I could get really into martial arts like that, honestly.
I'd date one. It would be interesting. I would feel a bit threatened but, as long as she was not emotionally all over the place (which I hate anyway), then I would feel safe enough. What I would not feel safe about is wondering if I was still manly enough for her or does she need a black belt man too?
I don't see where this could become a problem. I would not intend to challenge or fight her, but to go on a date. However - to combine the terms ''Martial'' and ''Arts'' could indicate a linguistic disorder; I wonder if I could have a proper conversation with her?
Sure but having a black belt doesn't mean you can beat everyone in a fight. I've noticed so many people who do martial arts think they're invincible because of it. My friend did karate and his father was even a 10th degree black belt himself. My friend got in a fight with a random dude with no proper experience and got his ass handed to him
I think i'm going to have issues with her because i'm kind a competitive but I still won't mind dating her. it would be great if she has a nice attitude. I study kung fu but not so great that it. I only use it for my mind but not really physically. Maybe she could teach me some new skills.
