I met this guy at a music festival back in September. He was in VIP, I was a regular girl standing in general admission next to the VIP section where celebrities were. He wouldn’t stop staring at me for both days.
Eventually he asked me for my number. I found out he was on stage because he’s the music group’s creative director. Ever since, we’ve been talking consistently everyday almost for months. Now it’s February.
He lives in Brooklyn New York. I’m in high school graduating in California. I thought he was 19 at first and he’s in his late 20s. when I told him my real age he knew it was wrong so tried to leave me alone but I didn’t want him to leave. He stayed.
The feelings seem genuine, he facetimes me randomly when he has time. (He’s always busy traveling everywhere) & texts me shows me affection/attention as much as he can. Which is almost every day. At first we thought it was unrealistic but we promised each other that we would wait until the time is right. We’re going to meet in the summer after I turn 18. When i graduate college thats when I hope we can be together. He wants me to live my life still. Doesn’t want to get in between my priorities and stop me from being young.
We talk about everything. He’s become a great friend. Gives me the best advice when it comes to the emotional stressful situations I go through with my family and everything in between. I give him the best advice too. Even if we don’t end up being together I know I want him to be happy. Our bond is so strong...
We argue once in a while about trust. He’s always around other girls. I get insecure. He gets mad and there would be days where we don’t talk. No matter what, he always came back. He told me he loved me probably 2 months in. Am I wasting my time? Or do you think he seems genuine?

I’ve had a boyfriend in real life and he’s been okay with it & I was okay with him having a girlfriend. But we would be jealous of each other so he stopped talking to me for a month and came back.
