Why are people normalizing cheating?

Question

Do they do it maybe so they can feel normal, or in a way feel less ashamed? 
 I mean if you cheat on someone you should expect them to do the same, and you shouldn't feel be mad about it right? Im curious to know your thoughts

Because people are selfish and crazy. This is what sin is. No many do not feel shame, they feel validated. 2ndly, premarital sex, and anti-marriage are accepted, and that is the top main issue. But people look at it as religious thought if you wait for sex and only do it in marriage. They cheat because it's legal, they can do whatever they please, and people follow Greek and Roman Thought in anything for your happiness. And, what is morality, and all of that junk you learn in philosophy to brainwash you... And your right. You cheat, why get mad? They're mad because they want to do what they want without having to feel. It's like they hate being human but want gratification. That's not human, young man. That's BEAST mentality.

Cheating isn’t being normalized. The general public still looks down on it and most people still get in their feelings about it. A rise of behavior doesn’t necessarily mean society sees it as okay. Either something external is causing the issue or the people who are “the problem” are okay with whatever consequences come their way. In some cases it could just mean the human race is evolving (not regarding cheating specifically).

cheating isn't normal... people are convinced they have to be monogamous and that is the problem!!
If people who can't be faithful would just be honest it could all be easier. Don't force yourself into unnatural confines that don't agree with your moral. If your partner believes in monogamy and you don't leave them! Find someone who shares the same view of relationships.

We're in the Era of normalization for a lot of things. Pregnancy outside of marriage was becoming normalized in the 70's when before a woman could be sent to a monastery for doing such a thing (Ireland had many cases of that), homosexuality was normalized a decade ago, now transgenderism is becoming normalized, cheating and poly-amorous relationships are normalized.

Paedophilia is even becoming normalized on youtube. So, paedophilia within a few more years will be fully normalized just like transgenderism is now. Bestiality will be next for sure.

Cheating is very complicated actually.
I used to think that cheating wasn't normal until I looked around at everyone in my family and all the people I know and realized that they mostly all cheated at one point in one way or another.
Admitting to it isn't normal from what I've seen.

People cheat because they don't care about the person they are with. If somebody cheated on me it doesn't mean my standards drop to where I would do the same to them. Quite the contrary... I would just leave them and chalk it up as a bad relationship.

Everything gets normalised eventually. Also if someone cheats on you yeah you can be mad at them... It doesn't really fix anything though. It's your own responsibility to make your self happy and have a life you want.

People are normalizing cheating for the same reason they are normalizing promiscuity and generally self serving shitty behavior, because they want to be indulgent. Their are people out their who have decided that society should be ended and they are trying to do what ever it takes to make sure it collapses (this behavior is the beginning of the end of an empire, it happened in Persia, Rome, Japan and now its happening here).

people have begun to normalize selfishness and justify it as the human condition, that that is how we are made. selfishness rules right now, to the destruction of the sub-cultures that embrace it.

ultimately, it's a great form of birth control (trashed revolving door relationships where people don't want to be married, or have kids)... this whole mess going on, is working perfectly... to keep human population down. that IS what is going on imho.

I don't believe it's become normalized at all. Take a look at some of the posts involving cheating or people thinking about cheating. They typically don't get a very warm welcome. There are always outliers, but the majority (men and women) do NOT agree with cheating.

I don't understand cheating. If they have lost attraction to their partner, then be honest and break up with them. Breaking up with them will hurt them less than cheating on them.

Because they are cheaters, want to cheat or have cheated. When cheating happens it is never their fault, just ask them. When my ex cheated she came out with the line "you know it is really not that bad." This is the way the average cheater thinks.

I think it's just an excuse for their unloyalty and greediness. I wouldn't give them a second chance. Cuz you're always in control of your actions, and if you can't stop yourself in a situation like that, that's really unfair on your partner.
