@foodOlivia It does. And humans are not alpha, beta, omega like, say, wolves are. We *are* different. But, people don't use the terms to imply that humans are like wolves. They use them for particular types of humans. Which definitely exist, in my opinion.
It's easy enough to see, because women swarm alphas and respond very well to alpha behaviors like confidence, leadership, and high social status. Which is obviously somewhat comparable to traditional animal alphas. Only thing is humans shift more, also dependent on location. But there are still "generally an alpha" and "generally an omega" humans, in my view.

What do you consider an alpha female?
There is no such thing as "alpha" among humans.
Some men and women are more confident, secure, athletic, and sociable, while others are shy, insecure, and fearful, no?
It's just semantics.
Yes, but the term alpha doesn't apply.
Not if you're a ethologist. But for colloquialism, do you not think there is some generally accurate structure to the terms?
Not particularly.
*shrug* Well that's that then, I guess.
@MlleCake that is because you have never met an alpha
I have met people of various levels of social dominance, but the concept of "alpha males" in human society is pseudoscience.
The term comes from the animal kingdom
