Let's say there's a girl you like, but she used to be into bodybuilding. She stopped and doesn't have the muscle mass anymore, but you don't know if her bodybuilding career is completely over. She could start back up at any moment. Would you date her?

Depends. I definitely don't find the female bodybuilder thing attractive. I would just have an honest conversation with her. Tell her that while you think she looks great, you're just not into the muscles thing and find out her thoughts/feelings/plans around getting back into body building.

You might find that she has no desire whatever to get her body back to bodybuilding. If she is considering it, at least you're aware of the situation your dealing with, and she's aware of how you feel, and your worries about it. A lot of bullshit I find gets cleared up by "just ask them ". Whatever the question needing to be cleared up may be

Sure. Why not? I don't really find the excessive bodybuilding particularly attractive, and I certainly do not look that way if that is what she would be into, it also wouldn't be a shared hobby but if we still manage to hit it off despite all that I wouldn't hesitate.

Her having been a muscle mountain won't impact my attraction. And the fact she will probably still beat me in an armwrestling competition I consider more funny than problematic.

Would I still be attracted to her if she bulked up again? Maybe. I figure by then I'd be sold on more things than just her slim physique. If I was into the girl I wouldn't break up over her biceps being the size of my thighs. I am not that insecure xD. I may or may not get less attracted. Never been in that situation so its hard to know what the reaction would be.

No, I just know how anatomy works. Such round looking muscles are never natural, not for men either. But for women the capacity to which they can grow is even more limited.

@morimeme1 - A lot of people speculate that she might be on minor steroids. Just enough to give her muscle mass but not enough to show since she's still young.

While I understand that there are women who are so passionate about bodybuilding to the degree that they want to take Anavar or other steroid. I can't say that I would want to date a lady who's juicing. While Julia states she doesn't take Anavar, her development directly follows other ladies who are on an Anavar stack. However, as your question states - former bodybuilder. Depending on the lady and how well we mesh, I think sure. I wouldn't mind dating a lady who's no longer on steroids.

Now dating a confirmed natural bodybuilder (fitness competitor) I think would be pretty awesome. I wouldn't mind sitting on the sidelines rooting for my hottie.

It would depend on if she used steroids, if not, then I would not mind as long as I found her attractive and was in love with her.

But if she did use steroids, then absolutely not.

Gaining muscle mass isn't just a dude thing though... 😂 Some women just have good muscle building genetics. Like my mother, in high school, she wasn't trying to get big biceps, the muscle fibers are just extremely responsive so she had to switch up her workouts to not make them grow too big. She wasn't trying to be a dude. She was just trying to stay fit.

1. Size and muscle mass.

(in fact excessive x doesn't make anything good to anyone).
