Friendzone guy after the first date?

Hi i am a 19 year old girl and I have never been in a relationship. I met this guy off instagram who I had some mutual friends with and after talking for a bit I met him for coffee. The date went well and we stayed in contact. A week later he started ghosting me. He would text me first and then when i would respond he would leave me on read. While he was not responding to my texts he was commenting on this others girls pictures and they were flirting through the comments. Although it hurt I knew we weren't exclusive. Anyways times went on and he would hit me up here and there. but whenever we tried to meet up our schedules didn't meet up or one time he cancelled last minute. He was very hot and cold he would send me sweet messages text me good morning then ghost me. He texted me recently that he is sorry for ghosting me and that it had to do with some crazy girl he used to talk to and how she wanted to get back with him but he didn't like her and that he liked me. He said he was very sorry and that he really wants to see me again. I told him its okay and it is. The thing is when he told me all this I didn't really care. He's been texting me like crazy but I don't think I like him anymore. I don't have feelings for him after he was so hot and cold. But we do have mutual friends and things in common. Can I friendzone him? should I meet him again and then see how I feel? or would that be leading someone on?
