Do men think short women are unattractive globally or is it just a Swedish thing?

The reason I ask it that I'm 162cm (5'4") and am having a really hard time finding a guy to go out with. Guys in my country definetelly dont want short girls and have a strong preference for tall girls

Is there something about short women that is a turn off (assuming they are attractive) globally or is it just a Scandinavian thing?

I'm 6'6" so 95% of the time, I'm usually the tallest person in the general area. I can count on one hand the amount of times I literally had to look up at someone else while standing.

Obviously I'm not the tallest person in the world and as mentioned, I have met or walked passed others taller than me, but it's really damn rare.

The point being is that to me, all girls are short. Tall for me is eye level or higher. If I have to look down at you, then you're short.

That's not a bad thing, it's just the way it is.

Your noted height isn't an issue to me, and I wouldn't knock you for being short.

Putting you next to another girl who is slightly taller than you and then saying you're short just makes no sense to me, because you're both short.

"Sorry, but you're shorter than that person who is also short."

It sounds silly to me.

I just don't judge people based on height. Maybe because I'm at the other end of the spectrum, I just don't understand the hang ups average and short people have regarding height. Seriously, wtf does it matter?

Are people worried their children will be short too and not be able to reach the top shelf at the grocery store?

Do they think being really tall is awesome and must be a great life?

Try being a tall person for a year in a world designed for average height people and then come back to me and say so. Not having your whole life conditioned to this environment will lead to a lot of pain and possible brain damage within that year of smashing your head on things you took for granted before. Try flying across the ocean for several hours with your knees smashed up into the seat in front of you.

See how annoying it is to have people constantly ask you to reach for stuff.

As for your situation, it sounds like a regional thing to me as I don't recall to many people I have encountered who didn't like a girl because they were too short. In fact, it's the opposite where taller women have a hard time finding a guy because guys don't like a girl being taller than they are... Makes them feel like less of a man or something stupid like that.

Heights height. It is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

I don't want to say it's your country, but I believe I have read an article recently stated that Scandinavia is now the leading country for tall people.
As you said it seems that the men in your country have a preference for tall people, So it's more of a preference than anything. I have a very odd preference for short women (5'4" and under) and tall women (5'10" and up).
My last girl was 5'0" I'm 6'6" your country men need United States women. US women have height standards. Oddly enough I don't think the women here would meet the height requirement for you countries men. 🤣

I live in America ! I am 5 ^ 1 tall and have dated men 5 ^ 3 - 6 ^ 4 tall ! so I have no trouble being asked out by different heights of guys

That's probably a Swedish thing. In the US, you wouldn't be considered short because 5'4" is around the average height for a female.

Simply not true, 162 is not even short. Maybe those below 150~ have it tougher same as girls above 180~. However, 162 is well within in what's common for girls in Sweden.

I would think your age is a WAY bigger deal than your height. Women over 30 diminish in attractiveness each year.

As long as she is not less than 4'11" or taller than 5'10", height is acceptable to me. Ideal height for me is anything between 5'2" and 5'6".

Depends on what then norm is I suppose. In the US the average height of a female is 5'4-5'5 so you'd be right at home here. You'd be tall by Japanese or south American standards. Tall Japanese women have it rough.

I don't know about globally, but I'm 6'2" and think short girls (5' - 5'5" or so) are the hottest. And some of the sexiest female performing artists are in that range.

Definitely not a global thing. I have heard that northern Europeans do appreciate tall women more. Here in the states at least, I'd say a slight majority prefer short women

It's a personal preference. For me, "tall" girls are a turn off. I have also heard that average height of women in the Scandinavian countries if much taller.
