I may be a Lawyer in training, but I absolutely hate legalistic BS like this...
His behavior is super hypocritical, and the underlying sentiment is dishonest as all hell; but neither of you would technically be cheating until things became official. The guy could TECHNICALLY be loyal to you while still sleeping around if he hadn't agreed to being exclusive with you yet. This is part of the reason that I make an active effort to not allow legalism into my personal relationships (romantic or otherwise). Because what he did disrespects the spirit of what you thought was going on, even if it was technically, or legally okay for him to do.
That wasn't cheating, just supremely shitty.

I have been cheated on by more than one woman, so I can't say I blame you. I don't strike woman, but at the time my heart felt like it was torn from my chest and I kicked them out of my life. I learned my lesson about cheaters back in my highschool years when I took back an ex who cheated. Generally speaking once a cheater always a cheater, and these people are no good selfish narcissists regardless of gender. Both gender's have dirty rotten cheaters. It is a sad fact of life. Both genders have fallen victim to this. While I generally don't endorse domestic violence, in this situation I don't blame you at all.
Sounds like a good healthy relationship keep it up and hide ur kitchen utensilis

You're in error for resorting to physical violence. He's in error for lying. He is untrustworthy, and you're abusive. I would suggest going your own ways and learning from the experience.
Coming clean does not excuse the lie, and lying is absolutely no reason to hit, slap, kick, or otherwise assault someone. You should apologize for that.
The STD test is the smart move. You need to leave him, he's untrustworthy. You made the mistake of being with a guy without it being "official". Don't do that again. That's how guys play you.
It was cheating -- please do yourself a huge favour: do NOT under any circumstsnces go back to him, he has proven he wasn't loyal to you between June and Christmastime, and has the downright cheek to say you weren't "official" !!
He is dishonest, disloyal and by the sound of it, self-entitled. He will cheat on you again, you can be absolutely sure of that.
You must move on, you deserve a nicer guy who will genuinely love you and care about you AND be loyal !Whether or not he's in the wrong, no excuse for violence. Shame on you
It only matters what you think. And the real problem here is you don't trust him. You can't have a relationship without trust.
He should have knocked you the fuck out.
If you act like a violent asshole you should be treated like one.- u
Guess your as toxic as him meh
He should walk away and never look back.
