Guys, is a girl having a foreign accent a turnoff?

I grew up in the Netherlands when I was younger and ever since I've moved to the U. S. people have always given me weird reactions to my accent. I usually get teased for it too. If you don't know what it sounds like think of something like hers

People who show dislike are most likely racist and hate anyone that goes to their country.. so upon realizing you can’t speak proper English the hate is automatic and they dislike you on the instant they realize it.
other than those types of people, most I would think find it at least interesting.
for me, a guy with an accent is more attractive than one without. I don't know why. Just is.

I remember there was an Asian man taking in English and I could not understand anything!! I was like whaaaat 😐... and my mom comes and understands perfectly.. and I’m like 😦... and they’re both talking full on conversation and I’m like wtheck... they both can’t speak proper English but they understand each other 😂... those accents are funny not attractive but I don’t dislike.. I just cannot understand if it’s too strong lol or I don't know

I’ve dated a German guy, a British guy, and one with a little bit of a slight Georgia southern accent, and they all loved my Hispanic accent 🤷🏻‍♀️ Plus I like foreign accents and other guys tend to as well

Just depends. I think Russian, Australian, and British accents are what do it for me. Just not only the accent but the terminology and sentence structures that have my undivided attention.

I guess it could be a turn off if the accent was so thick it was difficult to understand what they are saying.

I love a good thick country accent on a woman too.

For most foreign born girls, their accent is a turn on. There are a few languages that sound harsh or are guttural and the accent is not attractive, but it is usually a turn on!

As long as there's no problem in communication, I don't care either way. If it's an accent that gives me difficulties understanding what they person is saying, it would be a turn-off because struggling with communication is one of the most anxiety-inducing things I know. That's a problem with me though, not the other person, and I'm sure most people are a bit more tolerant than I am towards that

Its not a turnoff at all. Sure it might not be an everyday accent to hear but its not a turnoff. I'm from London. Its so diverse here, you here all kinds of accents so I'm kind of accustomed to hearing different accents.

Yeah in Europe it's gets diverse especially in the cities. In the U. S. it is and isn't diverse. I don't know how to explain it

I kind of get your point. In Europe, the accents vary to a great degree and there's a lot of travelling so it is common to get accustomed to multiple accents. I know its diff there but even I'm not really sure how to put it into words lol.

Having an accent is very attractive. You don't seem to realize how popular you are because of it. Trust me, guys notice, in a good way.

I have a female friend of mine that was from Georgia. She spent her senior year as an exchange student in England. Her friends always to hear her say, "Hey Yawl" when she walked into the room.

I actually find accents really interesting. I feel as if the people would have stories to tell about the place they are from, and different experiences from somebody who grew up somewhere else. So no, of course it is not a turnoff :)
