If they really like the woman and they are man enough to take on that responsibility and accept what comes with it then yes. I’m a single dad I talk to some girls who have no kids, there’s no difference.
Big thing for most guys I think. How did the relationship with the Father end. What were the biological aspects of the Father; Mentally abusive, physically abusive, criminal record. As well as if the Father of the child is still going to be involved in the kids life.
Much respect for the guys that can go around and pick up the pieces some jerk off parent left behind.
Unfortunately, they are not the same. Let me explain: Most stepfathers get with single mothers because they want the woman, not the kids. If they could magically choose to get with her with or without her kids, I can guarantee you that most answers will be the latter. Men often go for single mothers because they cannot get themselves a childless woman and therefore have little options and need to compromise. "It's better to be with someone with kids than to be alone" is the mentality. So they are simply dealing with the fact they have to co-parent children not their own. Sure, there are exceptions to the rule, but it doesn't disprove the rule itself. And there is always a big posibility that the stepfather starts bonding with the kid (s) even though they arnen't his. So many ex-stepfathers HATED their stepchildren. And look back with regret to ever getting with the single mother.
Adoption truly comes from the heart. It's unconditional love. While getting with a single mother and being a stepfather is mostly conditional love. And therefore, they are not to be compared.
@TruthBringer: You are absolutely correct. It's simply not the same thing when a guy is a stepfather. And it's a lot of work for which there is usually little to no gratitude.
there is a major difference actually. children under adoption have absolutely 0 contact with their biological parents, so raising a children in adoption has no consequences or attachments
I don't care who pursues who. Does not affect me in the slightest.

In most cases the answer is no, because in most cases it should be a big red flag when a mother puts herself in a position where she is raising a child without its father, and I don't want anything to do with women like that.
It could be a million and one thing's with nothing being wrong with the mother. So don't put it as should be a red flag but could. Either way if you love her then you've probably been with her long enough to figure out who she is since I sense your the type of person who's rather cautious. 'Women like that.' Eh, you are completely out of your mind if you think all cases are the same some might even be the father just suddenly up and leaving when things get serious there's a lot of that happening and it could happen with the opposite sex so I could honestly say the exact same for the opposite sex like you did as well with a single father should be a big red flag, that he put himself in that position because he loved the person but the other person was just in it for an non devoted relationship or one with someone who's personalities didn't match with his lover and that he put himself only in that situation. 'I don't want anything to do with' men 'like that.' Sounds sort of cynical what you said when I put it that way correct?
@SuzuBrooke Unless the single mother is widowed or was left by her husband, getting herself into that situation likely involved some irresponsibility or her part at a minimum, and possibly also some unattractive attitudes toward men and the role fathers should play in a child's life.
If you reread what I wrote you'll see I didn't say all cases, and that was intentional. I stand by everything I said because statistics show that most single mothers my age were not widowed or left by their husbands, so in most cases it is a red flag to me.
The reality here in the US today, where both you and I live, is that the circumstances of most single mothers are very different from those of most single fathers. Women have far more legal rights than men in the realm of reproduction and parenting, so in most cases when a man ends up as a single father it is a strong indication that the mothers was a major fuck-up and courts awarded the father sole custody. So aside from the issues involved in "inheriting" another person's children, the reality is that a single father raising children without a mother is not a red flag to nearly the same extent as a single mother.
I understand I'm making generalizations here and they are certainly not politically correct, but they are based on the realities of the world we live in and any man would be wise to give them serious consideration.
Lol my dad bends the laws by not even giving any money for child support he doesn't do anything just trashy. Either way men usually have control of the relationship more. They both did it then they are both responsible nobody should judge loving somebody on that anyways but how they act. Red flags are good telltale signs but judging a person for a past mistake is not. Not everyone leaves huge red signs in a relationship. And not everyone says who they are. It's both equally at fault for the single dad as the single mom but you still got to agree they deserve love since their human like anyone else. And them chosing to be in a relationship with someone isn't being selfish they are just looking for love like anyone else and watching over their children in most cases. It's up to the guy or gal they are dating to chose if they are going to take care of them or not.
@SuzuBrooke "Either way men usually have control of the relationship more." Really, how so? I don't think that is usually the case but I'm interested to know why you see it that way.
Of course single mothers deserve love, but that doesn't mean men should feel obligated to date them. Men deserve to, and should, look out for their own best interests and should be wise about who they date.
Sorry your dad is trashy but your mother had a child with him. Nothing against your mother but I don't want to date a woman who has children with trashy men. That should require no explanation.
There are few scenarios in which I would date a single mother, and I think any guy who brings a lot to the table should feel the same way.
No fucking way. Single mothers are a cancer, a toxin, a plague, a bunch of bad decisions and narcissistic choices who are now looking for a simp to pay for it all.
So many snowflakes under this thread are oblivious to how dangerous single mothers can be towards a childless man's life. And when you try to educate them, they label you as the bad guy. Gotta love how naive and ignorant so many people are.
I've never understood why there are so many stupid men who date and marry single moms at all. If she has kids and is single she belongs to the streets. Single mothers are single by choice.
@solstice777 There's single dad's out there too. Single dads/mom's deserve love and respect like any person out there. Shows that you truly don't love or care. If you love a person then you take care of what they love. I would do that for the person I loved if he was a single father. It might not even be the single parent's mistake but their partners for leaving them.
Also solstice you are old garbage. Don't forget your semen makes the babies too so basically if you were the one to get a woman pregnant you would be used up garbage too.
@solstice777 Gotta love the SJWs and male feminists, eh? Just let them believe whatever. Just focus on dating women without kids and let them have the scraps
@solstice777 sure... why not call pigs to the parent that actually chose to stay and take care of the children both created? One took off one stayed. The one who started is the pig. Got it! Dude you are a piece of shit.
@spartan55 And who said I was specifically pointing this to you? At the same time, I can't really call you mature for calling that guy a caveman. He may not be right to have used the term "pigs" on single mothers, but two wrongs don't make a right. Outside of what he called single mothers, I actually agree with him completely. And "Alpha/Beta" terms are not asm uch bullshit as you think. It all depends on how they get used, because often, people just toss these terms like they are nothing.
@solstice777 Again... Calling the parent who actually chose to take care of the child when the other just couldn't care less pigs does makes you a piece of shit. A very giant piece of shit. And I will tell this to my boss on his face if I know he shares you opinion.
@solstice777 Damn right. Why the hell should I settle for leftovers when I have options and can easily get me a young and childless woman to start a family of my own. You won't see me invest my resources into furthering another man's genetic pool. I'll save all that for MY own children. You know what they say --> "Alpha fucks and beta bucks"
@ThisIsMyOpinion Lovely how you ignore the racial slur other guy you've been teaming up with againt Solstice after insulting you aswel. But yeah, keep focussing on Solstice because he refuses to settle for another man's baggage
@TruthBringer I believe that is xenophobia at most. I can also bet that it was directed at you. Like me insulting a black guy calling him n**. I am not racist, I just want to insult him.
@ThisIsMyOpinion Yeah, quite sad. I'm a proud European. I have met several Americans who become Dutch citizens and they say life here is so much better lol
So if you like someone you decide not to after they say they have kids? Seems kinda shallow. If you really like someone kids, webbed feet, etc wouldn't matter.
I mean don't get me wrong i imagine a lot of single mothers actually look good but me personally it's not that i don't have options it's just i find her and her kids entertaining
"Should"? I don't think we should but if i speak for myself, i can. But of course i need to know how she end up being single. I am not risking my life for it
Fuck no. I'm not taking care of another man kids. First of all you will never be equal to her. It will be him her then you who she will step on and brush her feet on you.

Dating a single mum isn’t much different to adopting a child. Some people just don’t care.
Big thing for most guys I think. How did the relationship with the Father end. What were the biological aspects of the Father; Mentally abusive, physically abusive, criminal record. As well as if the Father of the child is still going to be involved in the kids life.

If a man with no children wants to resort to raising another man's kids, that's his choice. It certainly isn't a choice that I would make.
Aubrey Huff is right, though.
It's fully down to the man and what he's interested in. If he really likes the woman why should it matter
I dont see why not. If you want kids and are compatible with someone who already has some, why shouldn't you pursue a relationship with them?
I don't care who pursues who. Does not affect me in the slightest.

By the way, based on what you've told me here I don't respect your father either, and I don't condone his behavior.
If I had both sons and daughters I would not want my daughters dating men like your father, nor would I want my sons dating single mothers.
No fucking way. Single mothers are a cancer, a toxin, a plague, a bunch of bad decisions and narcissistic choices who are now looking for a simp to pay for it all.

@TruthBringer All true. Men who date single mothers will never be anything but walking wallets.
anything better from*
I've never understood why there are so many stupid men who date and marry single moms at all. If she has kids and is single she belongs to the streets. Single mothers are single by choice.
It's true that most women give all their best years to the worst men they can find.
Fuck no! Why should we lower ourselves to that level?
You're on the lowest level now dude. Lol
@solstice777 You are on the lowest leven if you think like that.
No you are beta males if you would date those pigs.
Ahhh the ol alpha/beta bullshit... so stupid.
@spartan55 No it is a fact. If you take the leftovers and are happy with them you are a beta.
@Solstice777
Whatever you say caveman.
@spartan55 You wanna date used up trash so if I am caveman you are not only a bottomfeeder but happy with being that way.
Sure thing.
@Solstice777 do you have a big enough dick to talk like that lmao? So alpha you jack off into your own mouth. 🤡🤡😂😂😂

@TruthBringer
I am neither of those things, which shows ignorant and intolerant you are.
@spartan55 And who said I was specifically pointing this to you? At the same time, I can't really call you mature for calling that guy a caveman. @TruthBringer
So you weren't referring to me then?
@spartan55 At the time writing my comment, no. Can't really call someone a SJW for not believing in "Alpha" en "Beta" terms
@TruthBringer
Why not? It would be in line with how you so called men's men think.
@spartan55 If you think that, then that says more about you than me.
Sure thing. I'm done with you.
@spartan55 Don't let the door hit you on the way out 👋
Real original there, stupid Euro.
@spartan55 Damn racist
@TruthBringer these guys are such losers bitching at me because I am too good for someone's leftovers.
@ThisIsMyOpinion No you are the piece of shit talking shit to someone over the internet because you choose to date used up pigs.
@solstice777 Again... Calling the parent who actually chose to take care of the child when the other just couldn't care less pigs does makes you a piece of shit. A very giant piece of shit. And I will tell this to my boss on his face if I know he shares you opinion.
@solstice777 dude you would not be too good for my dog to fuck let alone a regular human being.
@solstice777 Damn right. Why the hell should I settle for leftovers when I have options and can easily get me a young and childless woman to start a family of my own. @TruthBringer When was he racist?
@ThisIsMyOpinion He is referring to Europeans with "stupid Euro". What else does he mean? The currency? I don't think so.
@TruthBringer I believe that is xenophobia at most. I can also bet that it was directed at you. Like me insulting a black guy calling him n**. I am not racist, I just want to insult him.
@ThisIsMyOpinion Well I see that as racism and an attack on the general.
@TruthBringer lets wait for him to tell us.
@ThisIsMyOpinion I doubt he will respond. Afterall, isn't it funny how he didn't just "insult" my nationality (Dutch) rather than entire Europeans?
@TruthBringer I think he just wnated to insult you. And that was the first thing that came to his mind after he saw your profile.
@ThisIsMyOpinion Yeah, quite sad. I'm a proud European. I have met several Americans who become Dutch citizens and they say life here is so much better lol
@TruthBringer I am a proud European too.
I think they should do what they want. Definitely not for me though.
I wouldn’t unless the father had life in prison or was dead. Too much room for drama.
It could be a mutual benefit. The key there is, date single moms. They don't have to agree to marry and inherit the stepkid. Lol.
No. If the woman has kids it means there is another man involved. I would want to be part of that sitution.
Also, the kids might resent another man other than their father being in their lives
*would NOT want to be part of that situation
There is no "should". That's a thing that a man can do if he wants to.
"Should"? I don't think we should but if i speak for myself, i can. But of course i need to know how she end up being single. I am not risking my life for it
Fuck no. I'm not taking care of another man kids. First of all you will never be equal to her. It will be him her then you who she will step on and brush her feet on you.
