+1 yYes, I've had friends give me flowers (male and female).
However, they usually let me know upfront they were "just being nice," or in the case of Valentine's day, I got them out of pity 😑
Yay for pity flowers, lol
Flowers, specifically roses, are different colors, and usually signify meanings as well, such as friendship or love.
But more often than not, I wouldn't get a friend flowers without a good reason behind it.10 Reply

+1 yI think that would be a little tricky if you are both single and know each other personally. I have given people flowers with platonic feelings behind it because they were female friends and family and one male stage performer who I didn't know personally.

But you can most certainty send a girl flowers with just platonic feelings behind it. It's not something that has to be romantic it's just all about the intentions behind it.00 Reply

u +1 yYes, you can send flowers with purely platonic intent, but you need to avoid sending red roses or over-the-top bouquets which might suggest a romantic interest.
10 Reply For me when I sent them it was to someone that had caught my eye and I had introduced myself to. Very early in a relationship. However later on I would send them when the relationship was taking off and there was mutual interest. Some people thought will send them if they have a crush on you.
10 Reply896 opinions shared on Dating topic. Historical meanings behind colour of flowers, the type of flower and arrangements have a multitude of meanings. Yellow roses were always a gesture of friendship, not romance, while red carnations were a traditional funeral display.
Meanings change over time and these days most people think all flowers must be romantic. It's a shame really.10 ReplyThey can be platonic but you have to be careful what kind of flowers and message you send and for what reason. Usually flowers Are considered to be more romantic especially roses

+1 yPersonal when i bring flower is an older woman who is in a certain position in the society as a gift for respecting her, like a doctor, teacher, economist and others...
But when i bring flower to a girlfriend i expect her to belive that a true akt of love from me and that is not just a normal thing that she should expect, in that time i expect her to see my true feelings for her00 Reply449 opinions shared on Dating topic. Sending flowers does not necessarily mean love. However, many feel that sending roses is a symbol of love, so it's best to not send roses, so the meaning is not misconstrued.

+1 yDepends on the context. Is the person sick or has something to celebrate? Sending flowers is no biggie. But outside these reasons, I see not why it is platonic. This is something you usually give to your romantic interest.
00 Reply oh depends what kind of flowers they are and what u right in the card. Like i would send roses to a lover but diff type to lets say a relative in hospos

+1 yIf a girl sends flowers to another girl maybe it can be friendship instead of romance. If a gay guy sends flowers to a girl maybe it can be for friendship instead of romance. If a straight guy sends flowers to a girl it's about romance.
00 Reply You can do this but you do run a risk at sending the wrong message so just dint make it a habit if you want it to stay the way it is

Our church Food Pantry also has flowers and plants to be given out to our guests, and it's now because we are going to have a (sexual) relationship with them.11 Reply- +1 y

+1 yI do that in neither case. I don't think that gifting something useless that's actually already dying at the moment the person gets it, is a good thing

+1 yyou could give flowers I guess but if they're close to your age I would think something romantic is behind it.
00 Reply Dying plants are a shit gift. Give your Friends tools and weapons, things that should last longer than a rotting and depressing rose. You can easily fill a Vase with a wrench set.
