Yes, after 30 women see a large spike in various problems like miscarriages and downs syndrome in children and the age just happens to coincide with becomes less physically attractive, so it stands out as a relevant age for women.
Single motherhood is also the number one predictor of all sorts of problems in life, e. g poverty. That's just another reason why people don't choose raise kids alone.
"why would a young woman pick an old ugly old man if she can get a handsome young man?" Women prefer older men compared to men's preferences for women. A man will have an easier time with a younger woman than an older woman would have with a younger man. And the biological clock aspect still applies, but it's offset for men about 20 years before the same kinds of biological/reproductive problems start popping up.
"Empirical evidence has also accumulated in support of women's preferences for older men, and as you might expect, the data often overlap with those data supporting men's preferences. As this sample of Conway-Beam and Buss's (2019) review suggests:
Cross-culturally, women report wanting partners who are (on average) 3.5 years older than them. In online dating, women make the first contact with older men at a greater than rate they do younger men. Marriage records show that women are marrying men who are older than they are by about 3 years."

I'm just saying the overwhelming majority of young women have no interest in guys in their late 30s--40s. Even women in their 30s do not want a man in his 40s. Because he is seen as past his prime.
Why Do Women in Their 30s Not Want to Date Men in Their 40s?
@Glacierspeed um... guys really don't matter to me. because I'm gonna have kids regardless if i get married or not. Its my ultimate life goal to have kids.
Yeah but women 40 and over can have huge medical issues with pregnancies and trying to get pregnant is harder for older women, and they have high rates of types of deficiencies of the babies for older women. Obviously not every woman, but the chances are a lot higher to have autistic and other issues to the baby.
women don't have to worry about that because she can pick to have kids at 32 or 40. Only men have to worry about medical issues because he waited until 50 to have his kids.
This one is the same as an Argentinian 53 year old I once met who seriously told me that she expects to meet her Cuban prince one day to get married and bear his children. That's how stupid women get today. 50 fuckin years old and still coping.
It really does exist, my wife could of had a bunch of kids but would have had to been done by the time she was 28 or so. As different issues grow with time and reduce fertility.
On regards to the divorce rate, if you look into it... its not 46% of all marriages fail, first time marriages have a very low divorce rate. Last I checked it was 38% of first time marriages end in divorce but the number for 2nd, 3rd, etc... was close to 70%, hence the average of half of all marriages end.
True but odds of down syndrome increase over age 40 along with other health complications but that is unimportant to me.
My only real concern would be for the child, the younger you have them the longer you get to be in their life. My father was born when his father was 50 years old, his mother a few years younger. He lost both is parents when he was in his 20's.
Now had he been born when his parents was in their 20's he would of had them in his life long enough for the grandkids to actually meet them and get to know them.
As for me, my wife isn't even 40 and she is basically infertile, we just found out last year... doctor told us that had she had them before the age of 30 or so she would have been fine. Her mother had six kids by the age of 26 without issue but none of her sisters can have children either after 30, due to the same genetic medical issues. Our only hope was fertility clinics but they shut down due to covid, so we grieved and gave up.
Often things like this sneak up on people. To top it off, the waiting list for newborns to adopt is 2+ years right now and costs way more than we can afford. I decided I didn't want to have the same thing that happened to my dad happen to any children either. It is not fair to them to only have me in their life for such a short time.
Women frequently get blamed for infertility. But usually when a couple can't have kids, the woman being under 40 and is of child bearing age, it is usually the man who is infertile. Its completely true that infertility can creep up on you when you least expect it. Everyone thinks that men can have kids any time in life. But many infertile men do exist. But it is always women who get blamed for infertility.
@dragonpurple Infertility for men is actually much more common than you think. Nobody just ever talks about it because everyone is always focused on womens fertility. Infertility for men can happen at any age but it usually happens when the man is older into his 40s
In my case I had a child with an ex, and I got tested twice... every doctor we went to said we have to start testing men first as they are easier to fix before moving on.
I'm really sick and tired of seeing women hate on older men. We are born awkward and shitty looking, y'all are born beautiful, don't complain about the fact that women are more attracted to older men than men are to older women
I am attracted to older men. Just a few years older though, not old uncles like you. I don't date guys over the age of 33. A man over 35 is already out of his prime.
Empirical evidence has also accumulated in support of women's preferences for older men, and as you might expect, the data often overlap with those data supporting men's preferences. As this sample of Conway-Beam and Buss's (2019) review suggests:

first of all, this is not a facebook account, you don't know shit about me, so don't think you do. A man at 35 is at his prime and many women agree with me. It's only the butthurt feminists like yourself pulling that classic "ima cut you out of the genepool" shit to try and make em feel bad as some sort of spiteful revenge against the biological truth that the female fertility window is tiny compared to the male one.
The majority of women are open to dating guys 5+ years and older than themselves and whether they end up with em or not, that's the preference. Just keep your shitty hateful energy away from me that shit is strong... why can't you just accept the natural balance of things? Women enjoy soooo many privileges, you have no idea what it's like to be 80% of young men these days growing up in this fucked world, you girls get all the attention in the world and we just get shat on day in and day out, until we finally in our mid to late 20s manage to make something of ourselves and stand a chance, but you girls are ready at 18! Go ahead and shit on me for that comment, call me whatever, but there is absolutely no reason why a man in his 20s cannot date a girl fresh out of highschool. That's what my grandpa did and till death did they part; better relationship than anything you see nowadays with these stupid feminist trends.
Well I am a woman and I do not tend to date guys over the age of 33. By the time he is 35, thats the age where his looks start fading drastically. 35 is when most guys lose physical attractiveness.
by the way. Most men in their 20s have no interest in dating a girl fresh out of high school especially if he is a professional man. The more sophiscated he is, the less less likely he wants to date kid fresh out of high school who knows absolutely nothing about the world. My professional colleagues are all in their 20s, none of them are dying to date some teenage girl.
Its just that perverted old men in their mid to late 30s lust for teenage girls. Until they find out that they are still kids so they end up using them just for sex. Just because a man dates you, it doesn't mean he's in love with you. He might just be using you for sex. Once you reach a certain age, he will dump you for the next teenage girl.
Such an annoying stereotype. I want a young girl so I can help her grow in my direction and that way we will be going the same way in life. An older girl is already so defined and has her mind made up on everything, makes it difficult to connect. One partner can be defined and the other can grow in that direction and that works but if both are too defined there will always be clashes. Nothing more natural than a 28 year old man and an 18 yr old girl and i ent even 28 yet
Hun most men are looking to marry grown women, not clueless young girls who still are immature , need to be taught about how the world works, don’t know how to handle herself as a grown woman.
Boys want to marry girls. Grown men tend to want to marry grown women.
No man enters a relationship wanting to teach everything and brainwash his naive girlfriend. You’re not a dad , you’re a boyfriend.
But you definitely sound like someone who wants to control and manipulate others.
Im not gunna listen to anything more you have to say because you are not listening to me; you’re just putting me in a box and ascribing all these traits that don’t at all fit. Real men are capable of turning girls into women and these days, you either do that work yourself or it rarely gets done because fatherhood is mostly nonexistant (thanks feminism), and you cannot fill a cup that is already full, so younger is better if you are willing to put in the work, and I am. Like you’re telling me my grandpa was just a boy looking for a girl and not a man looking for a wife when he married my 18 yr old grandma. You’re fking wrong end of story. Most girls never grow up because nobody is real with them (for reasons we can go into, people lie to women 24/7) so I’d rather one that still has the ability to grow up as opposed to an overgrown child who’s grown into that and is slow to change.
But I doubt you give enough of a fuck to listen to any of that, you didn’t listen before, so go ahead and tell me im a little boy again, regurgitate more shitty feminist rhetoric i really never get tired of it
Of course nobody would listen to anything you say. Because you’re abnormal. Do you realize men are looking for women they can relate to? Most men are looking for women who they can have discussions with , someone they can ask for valuable input on issues in their lives, someone who has valuable things to say, someone they can relate to and understand on a deep level
A 35 yr old man has nothing in common with an immature 18 yr old girl. He won’t understand her or relate to her very well at all. Differences in maturity, perspective on life , differences in behavior, differences in humor. A 35 yr old knows many things an 18 yr old doesn’t understand. So the 18 yr old won’t have anything valuable to add to the conversation
Of course your 40 yr old grandpa married your grandma when she was 18. But back then women didn’t have a Choice to pick who she married. She didn’t have the luxury of dating around several men to see which one she wanted as a husband. In the 1940s, you married your neighbors son and you’re set for life
Overwhelming majority of men in their 40s are not interested in dating an 18 yr old girl. He might use her for sex. But not fall in love with her because he would have absolutely nothing in common with her
Back then women didn’t work jobs. Women were housewives. Women didn’t get a college education. So it was the men who needed to support their families. Young men have underdeveloped careers so they are not financially ready to support families. Therefore it was all much older men such as 35-40. marrying girls who turned 18 yesterday.
A woman can have a kid at 32 or at 38. She can take her pick. But a man does not have control over it. It will depend on when he can find love and get married. But his chances of getting a young woman by the time he is 45 is really slim. So there's a good chance he won't ever have kids in his lifetime.
didn't you just say you didn’t believe me when I mentioned that a woman at 39 has less than a 1% higher chance of having children with defects? So which is it?
Well doctors disagree. Now some children, despite the parent’s age can be born with abnormalities. All these guys misquote the stats like it’s some huge increase in chance. It isn’t though. You’re less than 1% more likely at the age of 39 to have children with abnormalities. Absolute truth.
Nobody wants to have a kid with an old man. Even women in their 30s are reluctant to date a man in his 40s. Cuz they are seen as way pass their prime. Women only settle for a man in his 40s when she can't get any of the younger hotter guys.
What's best for a baby are parents that are in their prime in all ways possible, and as stable as possible. Thus I agree that women should avoid having children with an old man, and vice versa. If people could go beyond their own selfish desires there would be little to be concerned about.
In fact, that biological clock talked about so much wouldn't be an issue either (in most cases).
I'm not selfish. I'm planning on having kids at 34/35. I'm not gonna wait till my late 30s. My mom had me at 37 and my bro at 40, we both turned out fine though. Some people are just blessed with good reproductive health even until old age.
they are unnecessary though. Dads are just unnecessary accessories. As long as a child has a good male role model then they should turn out fine. No need for extra sprinkles, or extra toppings or fancy decorations.
Technically everyone does, because we all die. But for women it comes earlier, the vast majority of women lose their baby making abilities in their 40's.

Yes. Women are born with all of the eggs they will ever have. So as every period that they have it reduces the number of eggs that they have left. Whereas guys produce sperm cells most if not all of their lives.
Well we don’t release an egg. That’s why we don’t get pregnant. I’d post some studies but I can’t. It only makes a difference if she’s been on it for at least 4 years in a row though. The longer you’ve been on it the longer it expands fertility though.
It makes perfect sense to me. Our eggs don’t just evaporate or vanish into thin air. We keep the eggs if we don’t release them. They aren’t abducted by aliens and used as caviar on another planet..
While the pill mimics the pregnancy hormone and causes your ovaries to not release eggs the extension of your fertility is minimal as your eggs are as old as you are. While male fertility also decreases with age; mostly that is due to a lower sperm count and not the deterioration of the sperm cells themselves. As new ones are made every day.
After a certain age, it becomes harder to conceive year after year. It is possible in 40s and sometimes in 50s. But the risk of a miscarriage is higher
Yes that's true. Obviously a man is more likely to have kids in his life if he's still 20 than if he's 40. That's just basic math. But biologically, it's absolutely true that men can still father kids well into old age whereas menopause is a biological reality for women. Your biology class did you serious dis-service if this is news to you.
Because reality is , if a woman wants kids , she can always have kids before she turns 40. If a woman reaches 40 and still doesn’t need have kids , you can assume she didn’t want kids
You COULD assume she didn't want kids if she didn't have them by 40. But in many, MANY cases you'd be very wrong. Why do you think IVF and other fertility treatments are a multi-billion dollar business? It surely isn't because all women who want kids can have them whenever they want. So to answer your question, "YES, a woman's 'biological clock' really does exist." As long as menopause is a thing this will be a reality. As to why a fertile woman at 35 is concerned, if she's not yet in a life situation which makes it feasible for her to have kids she's going to feel it and really want to get that resolved while she still has time on the clock.
You think IVF is a booming business because of women? It isn’t. There are a lot of infertile men too. A lot of men are infertile even young men. If your husband was infertile , he would need IVF to have kids. If a 29 yr old woman had PCOS, she would need IVF to have kids. IVF is not booming simply due to women wanting to have kids over 40.
A woman who truly wants kids wouldn’t wait to get married to have kids.
It’s like saying if I were to hand you a million dollars if you can run all the way to the local bank in 5 minutes. You wouldn’t say , I can’t go outside cuz I am still wearing my pajamas right?
If you truly wanted the million dollars enough , you would run out immediately in your pajamas to the bank.
I don't think you understand the IVF market even a little bit if that's what you believe. I have a friend who works in IVF. She attends trade events where they market to people. According to you, she'd be seeing a LOT of men. She doesn't. Virtually EVERYONE she sees is an older woman looking for help.
Of course there are guys who have issues with fertility, but that's not the majority play here. I also think you're pretty misguided as to why a woman wants a man and to be married to a man before having kids. You seem to think that's some irrational position. It isn't.
In one study of couples undergoing high-tech infertility treatments, researchers concluded that a man's chances of fathering a child decrease with each passing year. In the study, the odds of a successful pregnancy fell by 11% every year; their chances for obtaining a successful live birth declined even farther. The study was reported in a 2004 issue of the American Journal of Gynecology.
IVF exists only due to religious reasons. In chirsitinaity, it was unacceptable for an unwed woman to have kids. And I think its utterly stupid how FERTILE 35 yr old women worry about being too infertile to have kids when SHE IS STILL FERTILE!!
I know if I were 35 and still unmarried, I would have kids. Its my life goal to have kids, I won't worry about never being able to have kids. Only men would have to worry about never being able to have kids cuz he has no control over when he finds the right woman to marry
[I don't think you understand the IVF market even a little bit if that's what you believe. I have a friend who works in IVF. She attends trade events where they market to people. According to you, she'd be seeing a LOT of men. She doesn't. Virtually EVERYONE she sees is an older woman looking for help.]
Well according to this link:
30-40% of infertility issues are caused by men.
When it comes to infertility, women get a lot of the blame. But the truth is, male fertility decline is a factor in 30–40% of infertility cases. What causes male fertility decline?
Honey--of COURSE older men have lower fertility than younger men. NO ONE disputes that. That is also NOT what is at issue here. When menopause hits, that's IT for women's fertility. It goes to zero. This happens for ALL women. From a reproductive standpoint it's completely over. The only analogous condition for men where fertility goes to zero for ALL men is called death.
That's the reason men do not have a biological clock in the same sense that women do. They just don't. It's woven into our biology. Do INDIVIDUAL men have issues? Of course they do? Are there INDIVIDUAL women who can have longer periods of fertility before they're hit by menopause? Sure. There's variability around a distribution (something else you seem to be struggling with). But that doesn't change the fundamentals.
And no, both parents are not needed to raise a child. When your divorce rates are 46%, its not uncommon for a child to be raised by a single mom, while only seeing dad once a month. The average kid only sees dad , once a month, ruled by court order. Just because you got married, it really doesn't mean that the kids will have both mommy and daddy.
good for you. don't let biology or facts get in your way,. i suggest that you raise 5 kids on your own. Choose sperm from five different donors so the kids feel like a special social experiment too.
men rarely want children. I am glad that you will struggle to raise your fatherless children alone and then they will abandon you when you get old and need them
you come across as desperate and trying to convince yourself that you are right. Go ahead and have kids yourself with some easy to get sperm. I guarantee that you will not find any decent man to stay with you
desperate for what? It is my life goal to have kids and I know I will have them. Its a good response to misogynists like you who love to hate on older women. Women control reproduction, not men.
I would be fine if all human life ended. Why do you think that I care about reproduction or children? That is more of a female curse than a male curse.
i have no sympathy for older women who have children with birth defects that are the result of HER selfish desire to have kids later and ignore biology. children born to older women are inferior to those who are born to younger women. They hold less important jobs throughout their lives and they have more fucked up genetics than child born to younger women the way nature intended it.
I am not surprised that you don't care about your deformed children. you seem like yet another selfish modern woman
I think your kids are more likely to be autistic. Because I can pick to have my kids early or late. Men can't pick when to have their kids. It depends on when they find the right person to marry. Sometimes this never comes either
You should ignore the fact that single parent families have decimated the black community. That might dissuade you from putting children through hell just because of your needs
there's nothing wrong with single parenting. The stereotype that kids of single parents grow up to be criminals is false. Because reality is, overwhelming majority of single parent statistics are located in black communities where crime rates are high and everyone is a criminal. So obviously if most of single parent households are located in black communities then obviously these kids will grow up to be criminals.
I have seen many kids of single parents grow up into very well adjusted adults. It all depends on where your kids are raised. I'm planning on raising my kids in elite schools.

It isn’t a large spike. You know nothing.

Men's sperm quality decreases after 35 too.
www.business-standard.com/.../...3072600099_1.html
so how are you in your prime if your sperm has already begun deteriorating?
Unless you're gay, you are in no position to tell if you're handsome or not. Leave that to the women to decide.
I wouldn't want to bring up a kid when I'm old so if I have kids I'd prefer to have them younger.
As women age, the probability of birth defects increases.
The same for men too.
Much less, but yes.
A woman has control over when to have kids. Men don't.
Men have control only by using a condom or by not having sex.
Soon however there will be the equivalent of the birth control pill for men in which case men will have the same degree of control that women have.
A woman can have a kid at 32 or at 38. She can take her pick. But a man does not have control over it. It will depend on when he can find love and get married. But his chances of getting a young woman by the time he is 45 is really slim. So there's a good chance he won't ever have kids in his lifetime.
A woman aged 39 has less that a 1% chance of having an unhealthy baby.
@Teenybop i wouldn't go that far.
Nope it’s absolutely true. Again I can’t post the stats but it is absolutely true.
@Teenybop You are wrong. Post the stats AND the source of the stats.
The guys on here are weird. Women can have kids naturally with our own eggs or we could use another woman’s eggs. Or just adopt lol
Only men have to adopt. Women have the luxury of raising real kids
The point is if a woman can’t have kids naturally or doesn’t want to she can adopt.
For healthy kids, they do. Going into your late 30's having children can cause your child to born with defects.
A woman can pick when she wants to her baby. That won't be a problem.
The odds actually only go up very slightly. It isn’t an alarming amount though.
@Teenybop do u know my mom birthed me at 37 and my bro at 40? none of us had any birth defects or issues.
didn't you just say you didn’t believe me when I mentioned that a woman at 39 has less than a 1% higher chance of having children with defects? So which is it?
@Teenybop i wouldn't say its as low as 1%. It does increase with age though.
Well doctors disagree. Now some children, despite the parent’s age can be born with abnormalities. All these guys misquote the stats like it’s some huge increase in chance. It isn’t though. You’re less than 1% more likely at the age of 39 to have children with abnormalities. Absolute truth.
Do you want truth?
https://youtu.be/g9ryP0UyO5Umy question is the truth. there are no lies mentioned.
Biological clock exists after 50 but basically most women don’t have a problem I don’t know tbh
Many are too busy looking at what's best for themselves... they forget to look at what's best for the child...
If you are planing on being a single Mom from the start on purpose, then you are being selfish.
I dont think dads are necessary. Just have a good male role model who cares for the child. It will grow up just fine.
Your statement is the perfect example of my original post.
they are unnecessary though.
Whereas guys produce sperm cells most if not all of their lives.
you didn't even read the question
Actually I did. I just answered the biological side of the question.
who cares if biological clock ticking when every woman can have kids if she wanted to?
Well then why did you ask the question in the first place?
thats why i don't think there is a biological clock for women.
The pill has changed that. We keep our eggs if we are in the pill.
@Teenybop yea i think you're crazy.
Well we don’t release an egg. That’s why we don’t get pregnant. I’d post some studies but I can’t. It only makes a difference if she’s been on it for at least 4 years in a row though. The longer you’ve been on it the longer it expands fertility though.
@Teenybop nobody is going to believe that
It makes perfect sense to me. Our eggs don’t just evaporate or vanish into thin air. We keep the eggs if we don’t release them. They aren’t abducted by aliens and used as caviar on another planet..
@Teenybop hahhah i love your last line. so funny... it made my day
While the pill mimics the pregnancy hormone and causes your ovaries to not release eggs the extension of your fertility is minimal as your eggs are as old as you are. While male fertility also decreases with age; mostly that is due to a lower sperm count and not the deterioration of the sperm cells themselves. As new ones are made every day.
I think the aging of a woman's eggs is a joke. I'm not worried about that. I can have tons of kids before 40.
I can take my pick when i can have my kids at 32 or 39
It isn't a joke; it is Biology.
I didn’t joke either. Everything mentioned in my question were facts.
After a certain age, it becomes harder to conceive year after year. It is possible in 40s and sometimes in 50s. But the risk of a miscarriage is higher
If course the biological clock exists.
Ask any doctor.
Yes, because we slow down our fertility rapidly as we get older.
Of course it does. Basic biology. Men have a MUCH easier time having biological children past 40 than women do. It's just the way we're both wired.
Men who are past 40 usually don’t end up having kids. Very few people get married in their 40s. And when they do, it tends to be with older women
I don’t think you understood the point of me asking this question. My question wasn’t whether or not women can still have kids at 60.
The question is: “
do women really have a biological clock pressuring them to worry about infertility?”
Because Why would a fertile 35 yr olds complain and being worried for being too infertile to have kids, when she is still FERTILE?

In Christianity***** , it was unacceptable for an unwed woman to have kids.

Well according to this link:
30-40% of infertility issues are caused by men.
When it comes to infertility, women get a lot of the blame. But the truth is, male fertility decline is a factor in 30–40% of infertility cases. What causes male fertility decline?
extendfertility.com/male-fertility-decline/
My question wasn’t whether or not women can still have kids at 60.
The question is: “
do women really have a biological clock pressuring them to worry about infertility?”
Because Why would a fertile 35 yr olds complain and being worried for being too infertile to have kids, when she is still FERTILE?
does this make any sense to you?
And no, both parents are not needed to raise a child. When your divorce rates are 46%, its not uncommon for a child to be raised by a single mom, while only seeing dad once a month. The average kid only sees dad , once a month, ruled by court order. Just because you got married, it really doesn't mean that the kids will have both mommy and daddy.
good for you. don't let biology or facts get in your way,. i suggest that you raise 5 kids on your own. Choose sperm from five different donors so the kids feel like a special social experiment too.
why would biology or facts get in my way? I'm not gonna complain about not being able to have kids, WHEN I OBVIOUSLY AM STILL FERTILE.
only men wait and beg for kids, women just have kids.
men rarely want children.
Women control reproduction, not men.
www.evanmarckatz.com/.../why-do-women-in-their-30s-not-want-to-date-men-in-their-40s
Babies Born to Older Dads May Have a Higher Risk of Health Problems, Study Says
time.com/5438882/paternal-age-health-problems/
Then everything is on your side. Have as many deformed autistic kids as you can until your pathetic uteris falls out
I think your kids are more likely to be autistic. Because I can pick to have my kids early or late. Men can't pick when to have their kids. It depends on when they find the right person to marry. Sometimes this never comes either
None of my kids are autistic. I have three
Not talking about you, I'm talking about men in general.
i see. sounded like you were talking about me.
If a woman starts making a ticking noise, I suggest you RUN OUT OF THE BUILDING BEFORE SHE GOES K A B O O M!
