What do you do when you can't get over that one person who was your crush, best friend and everything in one?

I've known him since i was 14 but we had a strong friendship and he made me feel complete and whole. I've tried dating other people but nothing is like the connection we shared and i ended up moving away when i was 17 out of my control, we lost contact and he does NOT have social media we just have an age difference but i truly care about him and can't get him off my mind. All i know is id do anything to see him right now and i wonder if im in love. He was the first boy to kiss me on the cheek, see my body, and grow close to. I an giving other guys a chance but im not sure if Ill ever get over him. He impacted my life a lot. I care about more than the sex and i dont want that from him, i want his heart, his personality etc. Is ut worth waiting for someone to come back in a few years that meant a lot?

You are like an empty taxis driving around looking for a passenger... but your ‘occupied’ light on. With billions of people in the world, you can meet someone with a great connection again. I think you need to focus on meeting someone new. The world is full of unique and interesting people! But you are closing your mind (and your heart) to new experiences. If, you did meet him again, sometime in the future, wouldn’t you want to say to him that you have lived a full and interesting life? And met and had beautiful relationships with amazingly unique people, who introduced you to new experiences? 🤔
