If you text someone twice to get his attention (spread out by like 6 days, is that needy?

There's this guy who asked me out. We went on a date and we both agreed we had enjoyed it and he offered to link up again when he gets done with finals exams. He is finished now with tests. Last Thursday was his last day. But he just kind of disappeared. He messaged me to tell me he aced one of his tests randomly (I didn't ask so it felt nice that he wanted to tell me of all people) and haven't heard since. After 4 days went by I hit him up asking how he is. And now it's been 6 days. Should I send a 2nd text? I haven't done so yet. If I do, what should I say?
