I'm white, and I dated a lot of black women and I've never said that word, despite many of their friends dropping N-bombs quite often. Whether he's a racist is impossible to say, but he is inconsiderate.

On the flip side, if you were dating a black guy and he said that word, would you be equally offended (got up and left and cut off all communication)?

I don't know for sure about that scenario because it's hard to tell if he did that stutter on purpose, but in a scenario of like someone saying it when they get mad or something, yes that person is racist. The N word doesn't just "slip out" unless you already use it regularly.

With my black friends I have the n word pass - If someone that doesn't know that's the case is baffled by it he'd better grow up - In my personal opinion I use it because it sounds better in jokes and better than saying pal friend or amigo.. So no it can't be an indicator for racism

In this case it was clearly an accident because he meant to say vinegar. when I read the title I thought you meant it said it to refer to a black person and then corrected himself. No way is this a reason you should think he is racist. I can't believe you ghosted him over this 😂
