I can cook, but I can only prepare three dishes which I consider to be my best. Roasted chicken, pork roast and eggplant moussaka- which is a vegetarian dish including eggplant, potatoes and zucchini. I never eat it, but it remains on standby if the woman doesn't eat meat. Since you have to be careful about serving someone you don't know especially well pork, I always opt for chicken as the opening meal.
Women are always impressed when a guy takes the time to prepare a full meal just for them. Unfortunately, my limited menu becomes repetitive and quickly grows tiresome (although I could eat chicken and pork exclusively). At that point I hope that she'll step up and start cooking, which is almost always the case.
Guys, the key to a woman's heart- and regions south, is actually that roasting pan sitting in the garage that you've been using to change your oil.

Here's what I make... I will share my secret recipe with you
1) tomato sauce
2) spaghetti
3) 5 packs of sugar

that would depend on her... but a paella can be adjusted to different tastes, so I could go with that.

I cooked a standing rib roast a few months ago and my kids are still talking about it. I would go with that.
