Guys, what does a hopeless romantic male do to find love in a society that doesn't like or appreciate guys like that anymore?

IF YOU'RE A MODERN MAN LESS THAN AN 8 OUT OF 10 AND WANT THE LOVE OF A GOOD WOMAN, WHAT DO YOU DO? GIVE UP OR KEEP SEARCHING?

I ask this question seeking a genuine answer. Smart men out there know that dating for men nowadays is harder than ever. Women in general are becoming more and more picky, entitled, and demanding, while giving back less and less towards the man. (And if you don't think that, you're either over the age of 50 and still think it's the past, or you're of the 5% of most desirable men.) Society has always been gynocentric, meaning they favor women over men (because women are he birth-givers, thus objectively more valuable for human survival), but nowadays, it's actually anti-male, especially when being pushed by the political left.

I've always been a hopeless romantic. I once almost got married 8.5 years ago. However, I've also always been less than attractive in the eyes of women. I'm not remotely tall whatsoever, I'm not handsome looking (I've been told I'm a "6"), I'm not fit or buff, and I spent most of my life poor until recently. However, I think I have a great personality, no matter what ANYONE thinks and I don't need to justify that to any doubters. However, it's never been good enough. Looks and income really matters to women thus, I've been alone much more in my life than with someone. I see the world for what it is and how awful many (but not all) women are.

I'm stuck between wanting the fantasy of romance, love, female companionship, etc, and taking the red pill and seeing the world for what it is. Humans suck in general, but since I'm not attracted to men, I'd only focus more on the female side who suck, here. There ARE good women out there, but realistically, what are the chances you'll find one, let alone them being interested in you? I'm not actively trying to date anymore, but I haven't fully committed to just going MGTOW either. Which option is better? The hope of a good woman, or taking the more cynical but pragmatic approach?
