So many people are ignorant of what androgeny means that its giving me a headache. No, its not a new term. No, wearing your hair short, wearing a suit; or putting on a dress and makeup doesn't make you androgynous. No, it has nothing to do with mental health or gender identity. The only way you can really have androgeny is to be naturally born that way, take hormones, or have plastic surgery.
A lot of men and women who have more androgynous traits often suffer from hormonal disorders, pcos being one that effects 10% of women. But some are also just having been granted more features from the parent of the opposite sex. Another thing that I've noticed since I was little, though still does not have much research into it is people with autism that tend to be more androgynous. Thats why I was shocked when I learned that Shawn Murphy in the good doctor wasn't actually autistic, because he physically presents like a lot of them do.
Sometimes genetics also play a role. German women or Korean men will have more androgynous looks, and also tend to have atypical hormonal balances.
Almost all androgynous folk are easily identified as the gender they were born as, they just look more masculine or feminine than what is typical. But even those who are split directly in between, I find the men and women beautiful still. Not to mention model agencies LOVE them. Most the top models have more atypical gender presentations.
All of these closed minded attitudes is probably why so many people feel the need to transition smh. Most androgynous women especially tend to over compensate to look feminine, with long hair, monthly waxing, and always wearing makeup and despising how they look. These foul attitudes are the cause of that mentality. Looking more masculine or feminine doesn't make you any less of a man or woman.

No, I like manly looking men. The rugged aspect and I don't mean hollywood rugged - although there are some great examples - is very attractive to me.
I see the appeal to androgyny, there is something intriguing about the look. But it's not my cup of tea.
Nah fam. I don't want to date mannish-looking females and/or transpeople and neither does literally any other straight male. Mackenzie Davis looks like an abomination to me. That's the super-rare, perfect "50% pure androgyny" look there. They can equally be a biological female as much as a man/tranny. Real women aren't supposed to have boxer's jaws. And heterosexuals aren't going to be interested in people like this, at all.
No, I would not participate in supporting a confused person's mental illness. Not only because it could lead to me catching their mental illness but because I would then be a bad role model for children and others which only contributes to the decline of western society.

Hell no. I want a woman who actually looks like a woman - a feminine woman.
No.
I'm attracted to men because they possess traits (both physical and behavioural) that are associated with cisgendered men. I'd have a hard time being attracted to someone who presents as a mix of both genders, y'know?People that make new classifications of genders/type of humans just want to feel special and wanted.
Go see a psychologist if you need someone to talk tooDoes that mean a person who is post-op transgender? I'm getting confused with all the new stupid terms, just call it as it is. If so then no I like my men to look like men thanks
Depends what you mean by androgynous. If you mean a he/she, no I would never in a million years date a tranny. If you mean a girl with short hair, hell no.
Well, I personally identify as pansexual, which means I don't care what the person dresses as, identify as, or names themselves. If they have a good personality, I don't mind either way! <3
I'm not in favor of people trying to look as a sexually ambivalent as possible. It's wrong, and frankly just looks ridiculous. Men are men and women are women for a reason and we are beautiful in our masculinity and femininity.
Yes, I would date someone who is androgynous. Some people just have features that are unlike their biological sex.
With that being said, I rarely see anyone who is androgynous.never heard of that before. But looking at the pic you posted... I've never looked at MJ or an female MJ look-alike and thought to myself "yeah i want to hit that" HEEE-HEEEE LOL :P
I dont know what that means, is that half robot or something?
Yes
People have mistaken me for a trans person before.. so I guess Iām kinda androgynous, but not really on purpose. I think itās attractive when someone isnāt afraid to show their female or male qualities even when theyāre not assigned that gender at birth. This is coming from a guy who used to dye his hair and wear eyeliner occasionally (I was a goth kid haha)No, there is no attraction there. As a straight guy I would rather date a trans woman who actually at least looks like a woman.
I've always kinda like tom-boys. Does that count? lol
Nope, I'm not interested in someone that doesn't look traditionally female, and is not genetically female.
To be honest, I probably wouldnāt be attracted to them so no but itās not completely off the table
Sure, if that's the person's self-image, but I'm bisexual, so I appreciate both masculine and feminine characteristics. In terms of physical appeal, I don't think I'd mind it
I'm tired of this nonsense.
Yes, probably more so then others. I think they are more attractive.
No, never. It is femininity that is attractive about a woman to me.
