Should I wait for him?

i have been with this guy for over a year now. he leaves in January for 4 years for air force. he is a very logical guy and is always brutally honest with me which i respect. he always says that i am the most logical thing and that is why he wants to marry me in 4 years. recently about 2 months ago we broke things off bc we both need to do some maturing. we continue to see eachother but not as much as before. his reason of breaking it off was bc he needs to mature and he wants to experience life and have no regrets. allowing him to be with whoever he wants and do whatever he wants. he still says he’s going to marry me but should i wait? should i wait for us to both mature and see where it goes in 4 years?

If you're not ready to get married then why you want to get married? If you're not going to be serious about him then don't wait for him. If you're serious about him then you got to do what it takes to have that relationship. It's a risk either way. You should know this because you broke up with him before. If you waited four years for a man to break his promises then at least you waited and he's the one at fault and he doesn't deserve you again. But no you to really do need to mature. As long as you two are not trying to date other people, you have that connection they remain in communication with each other, as long as you two decide to be friends for now and really growing a relationship before you decide to try again, then you have nothing to worry about. At the end of the day we can't make these choices for you. You are an adult. Therefore you got to make these choices on your own. So while I have no problem waiting for a person oh, you got to decide for yourself what are you going to do. It's best to be honest now than for you to be stringing each other along.
