Is going on dating apps good for women?

Or is it a totally bad idea?

I made a profile because well I’m bored, and i kid you not within the first half an hour I got requests from four fuckboys that all my friends are familiar with.

That put me off using the app so I deleted my profile.

Do you think it’s a bad place for women because that’s the vibe I got? Guys just wanting to find someone to have sex with.

Well it depends. Some women prefer talking face-to-face to people and some people prefer using dating apps to enter a can get to know people from there. There are tons of gun-shy Women who have social anxiety on an epic scale. Especially the quiet ones who don't like talking, and prefer to just text the person a conversation happened to me multiple times cuz I'm socially awkward every time I try to approach a girl for the first time I've never seen before my heart starts beating so fast like it's trying to jump out of my chest and run away. Like Eminem said in the song:

If your goal is a serious relationship then it's not loading the deck in your favour. If you want casual hookups then it's a cornocopea for any halfway-attractive woman. I've stayed away from dating apps so far because something about them always felt kinda slimey to me. But I might relent and make an account of Bumble or something, since I believe the women initiate conversation on that app, so it's less of a game of "how many girls can I swipe "yes" on before I hit my daily limit"? I'd rather have a few genuine interactions and try to explore the "successful" ones more over an IRL date.

What you have to realize is that while most men are decent human beings, the majority of them in a dating context will still be trash for/to you.

You can go on any number of coffee dates or beer dates and men will show up. and parrot exactly what you are looking for. With online dating, you have to be smart, and really know yourself and your boundaries and actively move those frogs out of the way to find that gentleman prince.

You can say any of the following: (they will think)

I'm looking for companionship (but his sexual needs take priority)

I want something committed (routine sex sounds great)

I want to fall in love (but I'm not in the mental space to work at building a relationship).

I want an independent woman (but I don't want to anticipate her needs after her long day at work).

Dating apps are great! You met people that you're attracted to and it's a big time saver. Just make sure you hold out for the right person.

You will instantly have the existential crisis of too many choices. And always have outs and side options any time you’re dating. So it will be almost impossible to commit unless you are super disciplined. And if you don’t commit, the wall will come fast and you’ll settle for Pete down the street who you don’t really like as Biff and Tyrone from the apps. Resulting in happy meds, alcoholism, and potential depression. I was a programmer. Most of these programmer Bros just want your eyeballs to sell ad revenue and could care less what happens to you spiritually and in your life. Good Luck my sisters

It's a good idea, dating apps let you find the perfect match (doing that locally is next to impossible).

Why would you stop using a platform just because jerks use it? Jerks are everywhere, if you want to avoid them entirely, you are left with never leaving your house and staying off the internet (ie staying single forever).

If you want to find a guy who fits you, odds are you will have to sift through garbage guys for years to find one. Same is true for a guy looking for a girlfriend.

But the alernative is dealing with that same issue in person, with no block button, only to probably never find a match because of the right guy for you not living in your area.

Whats with this generation and not wanting to put in the work to find the right person?

I'm torn because on the one hand, I'd LOVE for more women to use it, but on the other hand, I want to actually give decent advice here and tell you to stay away from it. Some dating apps can be really good if they're based on common interests or they match based on tests or things like that, but most apps are appearance focused and heavily skewed to getting men laid. I've hooked up a lot on apps, but my actual relationships have all started offline when I had to put the work in and get to know and appreciate her.

It depends on what you are looking for, for hook ups? Yup! For future dating partners? Yeah they are on there too just gotta weed out the horny men.

I understand why women might feel a little discouraged to try but there are some good men on there and I would say just swat the fuckboys and the men you’re not looking for and keep your eye on the prize for the type of guys you want

you might want to go on a better dating site.
Those that charge a fee, the better ones cost more, so that really helps eliminate those looking for a free meal, and those that are looking just to score.
So if you are truly interested in actually finding a partner maybe try those type of sites.

It's app dependent doe the most part ones that are more hook up based are more likely to have fuckboys on it. There are good guys on dating apps but on hook up ones like tinder it's less likely. I did online dating for a while and tbh tinder even the women appear to be interested in hook ups.

Tinder and Bumble are most often seen as "hookup" apps. Most guys on there are not looking for a relationship. It is a waste of time. I suggest trying to meet guys IRL

If you want to get laid and go on a lot of dates it is great. If you want to meet someone good, you will eventually, but if you don't want to do the first part in order to obtain the second, then it isn't good.
