My wife grew up with money and my parents were very poor but she didn't have access to her family's money. So I guess that is kinda the case. She went on tropical vacations as a kid and my first time on a plan was our honeymoon.
@Subarugirl You can be assured that when the relationship started, it was not the case. Women are hypergamous and by nature do not date below their pay grade.
@Subarugirl How is that saying ALL women... it is saying women are hypergamous by nature. That in no way means 100% of them 100% of the time.
Just like Bears are aggressive by nature. That does not mean all bears are aggressive 100% of the time. There are actually some bears that are not aggressive in their current habitat with people, that doesn’t mean the instinct is not there or that they wouldn’t be if the situation presented itself.
if course It is but that is not the same thing as hypergamy. Hypergamy is a term used in social science for the act or practice of a person marrying a spouse of higher caste or social status than themselves. The whole marrying above your station isn't really a thing any more, at least not in the united states. Wanting a partner who is able to provide and protect is not the same thing as hypergamy.

My wife made more money than me at some point and it was great. I'm sure it wouldn't be any different if I was poor.
Most of these relationships don't last. Because women want somebody better than them.
They will stay for a while, if he is working himself up. But not for long.
I'm not sure I am following. Are you talking about a sugar mom situation?
Not really. More like a rich woman poor guy love story.

Don't know any, except in movies, which isn't real lol.
As far as stay at home dads (different than poor/rich), whatever works for them.
Been there before but I could talk the talk and can converse on a range of moneied subjects so fit the bill
So you have no ring on your finger, dude is living off you for free, and... what a 🤡🤡
he can't afford the ring 🤦♂️
💀💀💀🤣
I would like to answer with a question: will you marry his money, his status or him? If you are going for him, the rest doesn't matter.
It's nonsense. You show me a rich woman and a poor guy and I'll show a very short lived relationship.
Like you mentioned it's mostly in the movies!
The guys a lucky bastard if it works.
I think it's gross. Please follow me/dm me?
no different than housewives
Loser man with loser woman. Win win.
They almost NEVER exist
Data according to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that 30 percent of US wives earn more than their husbands….
@Subarugirl You can be assured that when the relationship started, it was not the case. Women are hypergamous and by nature do not date below their pay grade.
My husband was a broke college student with no job when I married him… so what was that you were sayin?
@Subarugirl Your personal experience does not invalidate the social standard.
Just like the less than 1% of oil riggers being female doesn’t make it a gender neutral job... it’s still a male dominated field.
Well then it's not all women is it?
@Subarugirl At no point was that said or suggested.
“ Women are hypergamous and by nature do not date below their pay grade”….

Actually hypergamy is a cultural influence not an intrinsic drive.
@Subarugirl I disagree. It is a natural animal trait for women to look for a partner that will provide for and protect them.

@Subarugirl Hypergamy is still alive an well in the US
maybe, but anting a partner who is able to provide and protect is not synonymous with hypergamy.
he must be hung like a horse lol
Sure if their happy why not.
No such thing like that.
Data according to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that 30 percent of US wives earn more than their husbands….
@Subarugirl but that doesn't the husband poor or broke. When I think of poor I assume that he/she doesn't have enough or no money at all.
You must be a good woman
It's a win win
