Should I give it a shot even if I'm not sexually attracted to him (yet)?

So I met this really great guy! He asked me for my number and I gave him because we had a great conversation, and because I am new in this city and want to develop some friendships. We think alike and have many things in common.
Now we've been chatting for some days and I noticed he is flirting with me. He also asked me out... The problem is that we are both the same height (5ft). I know I sound shallow, but I always had only 2 dealbreakers when it comes to physical appearance for men that I would date, and that's very crooked teeth and very short. For that reason I never gave a chance to any man with these dealbreakers. So I never dated a short guy.
Besides his height, he is perfect. Part of me is attracted to him, but part of me doesn't find him "masculine" enough because he's short, if you understand what I mean? I'm worried that it will affect my sexual attraction for him and that I will miss that masculine characteristic in a man. I know I am short myself but I just can't help but having kind of a "fetish" for tall (er) guys.
Another reason is because if we have kids they will be short, and I know how hard it is to be short (my brother is also short and he is miserable because of that).
But I don't know, do you think this kind of dealbreaker might change if I develop feelings for him? I think I could def develop feelings, just not sure about sexual attraction as well...

i would personally stick to your original requirements and if its a deal breaker for your then stick with that. i also believe that had he been mr right then you wouldn't be asking us on GaG, you would be dating him. the fact that you are questioning speaks volumes

I wasn't totally sexually attracted to my ex-wife when I met her; but her mind, soul, and attitude made me fall madly in love with her and I felt so sexually attracted to her at some point, it was unreal. Of course, she was cute in many ways, but I had certain "dealbreakers" with her too. I looked past them, after we had an employee party and we ended up BS'ing all night and I found her so intriguing, that I was compelled to be more and more attracted to her.

Give it a shot. The worst that can happen is that it doesn't work out or maybe you end up just being friends. And just because you both are short doesn't necessarily mean that if you had kids that they would be short. My sister and brother-in-law are both fairly short but my nephew is going to be tall.

I would not date him. If you're not attracted now, you won't be sexually attracted later either. You'll be wasting your time and his emotions in this as he will get closer to someone that only dated him because she settled.

At least you both are equal height. i mean he is not shorter than you. But if it's a problem for you, it will always be problem, you will always feel something is lacking. Not good for longterm relationship.
Because you will see other guys who are taller and more masculine, who will always make your fuckhole wet and ready faster than the short guy.
Other things is, you will feel uncomfortalbe when your girlfriends see him and talk about him because he is short.

I can understand the bad teeth but a man cannot control his height. Give it a shot. You don't have any excuse on sexual attraction on how it's affected. For some people it takes place over the course of time and for others it's instant on sight.
