Did I just get rejected?

I went on a date with this guy. He asked me over to his house while we were at dinner. I said no. Later, he said if I wanted to meet again to let him know. I noticed he never complimented me or anything. He did ask if I'd had a lot of boyfriends. I told him I'd had only 3 significant relationships in my lifetime. Did he think I'm slutty? He went on to ask if I were shy and I said yes.

Our conversation is easy-going but lags as we run out of things to say to one another. I'm used to more dominant men.

After the date the next day I decided to take him up on his offer and suggested a date we could meet again. He responded that he'd let me know if he will be available at a later time or closer to the date I suggested.

I feel a little rejected. Am I overreacting? Might he have only been seeking sex based on how he's responded to me?

Should I just move on from this guy? My thoughts are to keep dating.
