Is it normal for a guy to get mad at a girl he rejected for telling her friends that she got rejected by him?

A guy got mad at me for telling my friend that I got rejected by him. To be clear, I have only 4 friend who I have full confidence in and I know they didn't say anything.
The guy I "declared my feeling" ( I just ask him if he wanted to go out with me) rejected me, and now he is "mad" at me and at that time I didn't knew the reason
So I ask him and he said that he was not mad (he was clearly mad) and said that he is just scared I told everyone about it which I didn't I still have pride 🙄
In another word, he want me to be sad about his rejection, alone, instead of seeking small support and I don't understand why he is mad, I tried to make thing cool between us but he is clearly becoming an ass 🙄
What's your opinion does he have the rigth to be mad or Am I exaggerating?

No, he has no right to be mad because at worse all you did was share what he said with your friends. Obv you have friends to support you and run things by so he should have anticipated they will find out by you.


As a guy we are sometimes concerned about our reputation and don’t wanna come off as a jerk to other people before they have been able to interact with us directly. Think in this case it’s why he feels “mad” because he knows that by rejecting you it makes him look bad and is worried that will hurt his reputation should he want date someone else in the future. At the time he turned you down he must have assumed you wouldn’t tell anyone else.



Sorry this happened. In the end he’s being selfish and not considering your feelings. He may also be acting like a jerk on purpose in case he thinks you may still like him, who knows? Glad you have friends to support you and help you feel better so you can find a better guy.
