All the mind games women love to play. I can only speak from my own experienece; it's VERY rare I'll be interested in a woman, let alone pursue one that's not part of my inner circle for the aforementioned reason. Not being into casual hookups could also have something to do with it.

Troubleshoot yourself. See what is so unattractive about you. Im sure its easier for a girl to get a partner. Otherwise you can go for a fling (relationship with no string attached), but I advise against that. After you have found out what is this much unattractive about you and fixed it, go out, make some friends, male friends. Good luck
It depends on how do you look like and what your personality is like. I actually have seen even ugly girls by standard are getting above average guys because they have a nice personality. And I don't think guys aren't looking for girls.
If you are already doing the right things then it could just be bad luck.
